There will be a minyan at Chavura tomorrow night, Wednesday July 22, Erev Tisha B'Av starting at 9:00 pm.

On Thursday morning, July 23, the north end minyan will be at Ashkenazie Shul, beginning at the regular time, 8:00 am.

We have Sunday, August 30, 2026, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm as our scheduled "soup and soup cozy" fundraiser pick-up date.
We are happy to announce we ALSO have an Alternate pick-up date of Sunday, September 06, 2026, 11:00am -1:00pm.

SHAVUOT SERVICES

Shavuot services are scheduled for 9:30 AM both this Friday, May 22 and Shabbat, May 23, 2026 at 9:30 AM.

Friday May 22 services will have the reading of the Torah and Ten Commandments. Following services, a Dairy Kiddush is being sponsored by Rocky and Barb’ra Kravetsky in memory of Ahuva Kravetsky.

Shabbat May 23 services will have a Yizkor service. A kiddush following services is being sponsored by Earl Ashkin in memory of his parents.

TRIBUTE CARDS

Our shul TRIBUTE CARDS are a great way to mark a special occasion, remember a loved one, or send as a gift. We will mail out your card to the recipient with your personal message and a note acknowledging your donation has been made in their honour to support the Chavurat Tefilah Talmud Torah.

CHESED SHEL EMES BOOK BURIAL CHANGE OF TIME

We received notification from Chesed Shel Emes that their upcoming book burial will take place at 10:15 AM Tuesday June 2nd at the Bnay Abraham Cemetery.

Gray Academy students will be joining Rabbi Kliel Rose for this service. Everyone is welcome to bring boxes of books, paper and ritual items to the cemetery that day.

CHAVURAT TEFILAH TALMUD TORAH
May 2026 NEWSLETTER

Communication was received from Ian Brojges advising that he will not be able to carry on as a director. A shul board meeting was held on April 12, 2026, and we are happy to announce and welcome three new board members to serve until the next AGM. They are: Anita Gilman, Avrohom Sheps, and Marion Yarema, each of whom brings a unique perspective to the table

One of many areas discussed at our recent board meeting was ways we might reconfigure the ladies section. We are looking for two or three non-board members to join a committee for that purpose. If you would like to be part of this committee, let us know as soon as possible. Our email is listed here on our About page.

SHAVUOT will be celebrated in shul this year on both Friday May 22 and Saturday May 23rd. Shavuot is the celebration of the giving of the Torah and hearing the reading of the Ten Commandments. Services these two days are scheduled for 9:30. AM.
On Friday May 22nd, after shul services, Rocky and Barb’ra Kravetsky will be hosting a dairy buffet in memory of Ahuva Kravetsky.

PASSOVER YOM TOM SHUL SERVICES:
Scheduled: 9:30 AM Thursday, April 2 and Friday, April 3, 2026 and Wednesday, April 8 and Thursday, April 9, 2026. YIZKOR will take place approximately 11:30 AM Thursday, April 9, 2026

SHABBAT SERVICES:
Scheduled: 9:30 AM Saturday, April 4, 2026.

SELL YOUR CHAMETZ:
There are many onsite places where you can sell your chametz. One local site is Chabad Lubavitch Jewish Learning Centre. (204) 339-8737
