Rachel Klassen, Mennonite Church Canada rep on The Canadian Council of Church's Faith and Life Sciences Reference Group, thinks all Christians should consider a Christ-centred lens when thinking about AI.
"There's so much noise right now in the media about AI and what it is and what it will do in the future. One of our jobs as Christians is to discern together what is true so that we can live so that we can live Christly lives. These conversations are a great way to come together as Christians with a document that can help start the conversation so that when we hear things in the news about about another data center being built in our community, or we hear about the use of autonomous drones in work there, or the offloading of decision making to AI, we have a better sense of whether that is in line with our beliefs as Christians."
