I was baptized at ALBC on Easter Sunday.
Easter Sunday is my favorite holiday due to its meaning.
Every year I think of this and who was there. I did not tell my mother till the evening before to avoid drama. My elder friend who is not saved came out, my grandmother in law, mother in law,mother and best friend all came out for me. My best friend is now in heaven.

My four eldest were dedicated at another church but were baptized at ALBC.
Jubilee was dedicated at ALBC. Archer was never dedicated. I hope the other half of my children choose baptism and I’m around to see it.

When I was in college as a 20 years old student, a pastor's wife who was 30 years old at that time, always invited me to their home to talk about anything: God, student life, family life, etc. She encouraged me to read and study the Bible together with the guidance of her husband who's a pastor and that was the start of my walk with God as an adult.

She never preached, but she let me witness her life as a wife, a homemaker, and a mother. She would teach me how to bake and cook (skills that I lacked then), and we always talked about God afterwards.

I later realized that her way to evangelize to young women like me at that time was far more effective than a female preacher at the pulpit. (l had been to church with female pastors too growing up.) She was a young woman too at that time at only 30, but looking back, she was wise beyond her years, and she and her family was a tremendous blessing not only in my life but in many other young women that she mentored as well.

We will also listen to the testimony of Joanne and the women in her life who helped her along the way and how her faith sustained her when she had to let her daughter go be with the Lord.
