This coming Sunday, we are taking time to mark National Truth and Reconciliation Day / Orange Shirt Day, which is officially on Sep 30.

You’re welcome to wear an orange shirt!

Part of our time will include sharing of the official apology of the Presbyterian Church for its running of Residential Schools, and we will talk about the Church’s commitment to healing and reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples. Kidventure will also spend time focusing on the same topic.

There will be personal storytelling and as such the service will not be live-streamed on YouTube. We hope most of our community are able to be there in person.

A new series starting this Sunday… The Apostles’ Creed has been handed down through the centuries as a summary of the core beliefs of the Cristian Faith, but it is not intended to simply say “this is what you should believe.” Rather, it provides a pointer to the Story of Father, Son, and Spirit at work, and it is this story that provides shape to the life of faith.

Over 10 weeks, we will look at the phrases in the Apostles’ Creed as a series of waypoints for our spiritual journey, and consider the postures and practices that come from living as ones shaped by the story to which it points. Let’s learn together again the ancient paths that ground us in the beautiful story of a God who loves this world.
