With summer coming to an end here are some updates on what’s going on this fall at Soul! 🍂 Read below for more info! ⬇️

1. Are you new to Soul or looking to get more involved in our community? Consider joining Growth Tracks starting on Nov. 15! It is a three week interactive seminar that serves as a guide for you to explore Soul Sanctuary Church and to help you discover your next step in your relationship with God.

2. If you serve at Soul we would love to have you at Team Day on Oct. 25! Team Day is an opportunity for us to practically equip our Servant Leader teams for the next season of ministry.

3. If you are looking for deeper connection at Soul consider joining a Life Group or Joining the waitlist for Discipleship groups!

Discipleship Groups are oriented towards spiritual growth and development through Bible Study, the practice of spiritual disciplines, and intentional times in prayer. These groups will each have 2-3 members with options for both Men and Women. If you are looking to grow in your relationship with God this might be the next step for you!

On the last Sunday of every month we set time aside to practice communion. We look forward to this time of worship and surrender as we remember all that Jesus has done for us. Here is a word from Pastor Beth on communion.

“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace
you have been saved.” (Ephesians 2:4-5)

“And it is that grace that invites us to the Communion table today. It was during the Passover meal with his disciples that Jesus told them in a beautifully symbolic way that his body would be given for their sin and his
blood would be shed for their sin.

The same is true for us today, Jesus gave his body as a sacrifice for you - for your sin, for your shame, for your idolatry, for your pride - for you.

Jesus shed his blood for you - for your forgiveness of sin, for your new identity as one who is reconciled to God, for you to become holy and set apart for God. “

This Sunday Pastor Beth continued our series on the book of Daniel.
Here is part of her blessing for our community this week.

“As you go into this week may you be in awe of the holiness of God! May
your worship of him flow from a heart that knows the mighty and
sovereign acts of God, the one who created the heavens and the earth, and
gives life and breath to you.

May the Spirit of God empower you to live in humility and with love while
you faithfully live out the kingdom of God to those around you.”

Three updates on camps at Soul! Read below for all the details 👇

1️⃣Last week we had our Grade 4-5 camp! 🌟 The kids had so much fun connecting with each other and learning about Jesus! Their days included Bible lessons, gym games, snacks, experiments, and more!

2️⃣Next week is our Grade 6 discipleship camp! 🎉We are super excited to learn and grow alongside our Grade 6 students! Please keep them in your prayers this upcoming week as they spend time growing in their relationships with Jesus together.

3️⃣Soul Camp is coming up! We are looking forward to an amazing weekend with the Soul community! Registration is now closed for the weekend, but you can still register to join us on Sunday August 9 at Manhattan Beach Retreat Center for our Sunday service!

We can’t wait to see you around Soul this summer! ✌️
