From our theme for this month, Daniel could not control his steps. He was a teenager, a captive, carried to Babylon, given a new name, new school, new future he didn't choose. His steps had been determined by an empire and, ultimately, by the Lord.

What he could control was his resolve. Before the pressure, before the plate was in front of him, he decided what his non-negotiables were. That is purposeful living!

*What do we need to know as a church:*
1. Purpose is decided beforehand. Daniel didn't make a decision in the moment, he had already purposed. Purposeful living isn't reacting well, it's deciding beforehand who you will be.
2. Purpose is often what you say no to. He couldn't control much in Babylon, but he could control defilement. Sometimes your plan isn't about building something big, it's about protecting your consecration in a small, daily choice.
3. God honors the resolved heart and then directs the steps. Because Daniel purposed, God gave him favor with the official. Daniel made the inner plan, God determined the outward steps.

Today's scripture is key to keeping us from anxiety. We don't always have to control everything. And the balance is in Daniel 1:8 which keeps us from passivity. We still have to resolve something.

What is the one resolve you need to set upon your heart in this season, even while the steps are still unfolding?

Have a blessed day.

This is one of the most purposeful sentences that I cherish a lot in the Bible, because it's not a feeling, it's a decision.

Here are the three main points I'll like us to focus on today:
Purposeful living starts with a choice. Joshua doesn't say "we will try" or "we hope to." He says "we will." In a world that keeps all options open, purpose comes when you settle in your heart who you belong to. You get to choose today not tomorrow, not when life is easier.

Purpose is lived one day at a time. "Choose this day." Serving God isn't a one-time event from your past, it's a daily alignment. Your purpose is renewed each morning in small, faithful choices: how you speak, how you work, how you love people when no one is watching.

Your purpose will outlive you. Joshua says "as for me and my household." When you live with clear conviction, it creates a path for others to follow. Your purposeful decision today becomes encouragement and strength for your family, friends, and everyone around you in Percé.

So if life feels scattered or uncertain right now, come back to that one line. You don't have to have every detail figured out. You just need to make the core choice again:

"As for me, I will serve the Lord today, in this place, with what I have." That is a purposeful life, and God honors that kind of heart. Have a wonderful night rest 😴

Welcome to September - Our Month of Purposeful Living

Beloved, I joyfully welcome you into September 2026. By the mercy of God, we made it. Against all odds, we scaled through and we are here with a testimony. Praise the Lord!

I am also very excited to announce our theme for this month at Flourish Foursquare, Winnipeg: "PURPOSEFUL LIVING - Daniel 1:8."

Beloved, this theme must be understood in its proper perspective. Purposeful living is not just a slogan. The truth is, many people today are living purposefully, but purposefully against the plan and purpose of God for their lives, because they are not living for the glory of God.

To live purposefully is to align your heartbeat with the agenda of Heaven for your generation. It is to awaken to the reality that your life is not casual, your life is a sacred assignment.

I know many are still asking, "What is my purpose?" Hear this: If you must discover, follow and fulfill your divine assignment, you must first embrace this one supreme purpose - to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself.

Therefore, I prophesy over you this September:
- Each morning as you wake, you will offer your life afresh as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God.
- Whatever your hands find to do, you will do it with all your might, as unto the Lord and not unto men.
- In this month and for the rest of your lives, you will personally find, follow, fulfill, and finish God's purpose for your life. Amen.

Once again, welcome to September. Welcome to Purposeful Living.

Shalom!!!

Happy Sunday!
In today's scripture we have two actions in one sentence:

Keep yourselves in God's love.
We all agree that attaining success is easier than maintaining success. Likewise, earning God's love, is easier than remaining in it. Jude just spent the whole of his letter warning about drifting. He mentioned few things that could potentially facilitate drifting such as false teachers, cynicism, division. To stay in God's love, we need to be active in prayer, remembering what you've been taught, and caring for each other. Like staying close to a fire to stay warm.

Await mercy.
The posture is waiting, not striving. The mercy of Jesus is what actually brings eternal life. We don't bring ourselves there. It's future-looking hope. Jude connects love now and mercy then.

To be safe in God's love isn't from trying harder to be perfect, it's from staying rooted in that love while you wait. Jude wrote today's passage to a church that was anxious and divided. His final word isn't fear, it's stay close, keep waiting, mercy is coming.

Beloved, I am echoing same words to you tonight.

Have a lovely week ahead 😘

One of the most common challenges to Christianity is the fact that no one can see God. This verse implies that one of the ways we are actually able to see Him is through love.

One of the best ways that you can introduce Jesus to the people around you is by how you love. The way that you love others, your environment, and even the work entrusted to you speaks loudly as being different from the world.

Much of today's world is about tolerance and at best, acceptance. However, rarely is it about love. When you love what others only choose to tolerate or accept, you set yourself apart as different.

Remember church that love is the most distinct marker of our God. And therefore as His followers, it must also become our most distinct marker. Remember also that love is an active choice, one that we must make. And in making this choice, we know that God's love will be perfected in us.

Have a wonderful night rest everyone and see you all in church tomorrow! It's Thanksgiving Service 😋
