The gospel invites us to more than information about Jesus—it invites us into transformation under His reign.

In Ethan's sermon, we’re reminded that it’s possible to be fascinated by Jesus—to recognize something divine in Him—and still refuse to bow to Him.

Throughout Matthew’s Gospel, people encounter Jesus’ authority in very different ways. Kings and common people alike see His power. But encountering His authority is not the same as submitting to Him as King.

Jesus’ authority confronts the places we want to protect—
our comfort, our control, our image, our security.

And yet, He does not force His Kingdom upon us.
He invites us into it.

True faith is not simply admiration or agreement.
It is a daily, willing surrender—trusting Jesus even when obedience costs us something.

So the question before us is not only what we believe about Jesus,
but whether we are willing to follow Him where He leads.

As disciples of Jesus, we are formed not by accumulating knowledge alone, but by learning to submit every area of life to the gracious reign of Christ—by the power of the Holy Spirit.

So the question isn’t simply, “Do I know about Jesus?”
It’s, “Where is He inviting me to trust Him more fully?”.

As we step into a new season and move into our own building, we want to pause and give heartfelt thanks to . For the past few years, your sanctuary has been more than a space—it has been holy ground where Jesus met us, prayers were lifted, lives were changed, and community was built.

Thank you for your generosity, your trust, and your partnership in the Kingdom. We are deeply grateful for the time we shared and excited to see all that God continues to do through both of our churches. 🤍✝️

The story of the gospel does not begin with what we do, but with what God has already done for us in Christ.

Prayer is our response to His finished work, our posture of dependence and delight in Him. As we pray over the Cattani family stepping into a season of rest, we do so with confidence that the Lord Himself is their shepherd and sustainer. May this season be filled with joy in God’s presence, freedom from burdens, and renewal of spirit.

And as we lift them up, may we also be reminded that we too are called to find our rest in Christ, the true source of life.

“He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” (Psalm 23:3)

The annual OVC guy's ice fishing day was a success!
Normally we just a day together and celebrate God's wonderful creation.
This year we actually caught some fish!
