Join us for the DMC Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday, October 17 at 5:00 PM! 🍂🧡
We’ll begin our evening at 5:00 PM in the sanctuary for a time of Thanksgiving, and then head into the gym for amazing food! Please see the sign-up sheets located in the upper foyer to RSVP and find opportunities to volunteer. If you have any questions regarding volunteering, please contact Anne Heidebrecht at 204-894-5602. Non-perishable food donations are gratefully received for Harvest Manitoba. There will also be a silent auction for a beautiful handmade quilt. All proceeds from the auction and donations received will go towards our Capital Fund and Mission. 🙏

Over the next few months, we will be welcoming a number of guest preachers who will continue with our series ‘This Is My Story’. We will be introducing them to our DMC community ahead of time. This Sunday, we are excited to welcome Dr. Layton Friesen as our guest speaker. Layton is the academic dean at Steinbach Bible College and teaches theology, ethics and history. He attends the Fort Garry EMC church in Winnipeg where he was the pastor for 10 years. He is married to Glenda, a youth and worship pastor, and has two grown up children and a daughter-in-law. We look forward to welcoming him and you to DMC this Sunday! 💙

Over the next few months, we’ll be welcoming a number of guest preachers who will be continuing our series, “This Is My Story.” We’re excited to introduce each of them to our DMC community ahead of their time with us.

This Sunday, we’re pleased to welcome Scott Koop!
He is the Associate Director of Square One World Media and has been involved with Square One first as a member of the board for 7 years before coming on staff in 2023. Prior to his time at Square One, Scott was a pastor with the Manitoba Mennonite Brethren for 26 years, during which time he served as a chaplain for two Jr. hockey teams and also the Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball club. Scott has been married to Natalie for 38 years, they have two married children and their 1st grandchild is on the way.

We’d love for you to join us this Sunday as Scott shares his story and continues our “This Is My Story” series.

Over the coming months, we will be welcoming several guest preachers who will continue our series, “This Is My Story.” ✨
To introduce them to you beforehand, we’ll be sharing their stories with our DMC community in advance.
This Sunday, we are delighted to welcome Marvin Dyck, who will be preaching on the story of Jacob.
Until his retirement six years ago, Marvin served as the pastor of Crossroads Mennonite Brethren Church in St. Boniface.
Marvin and his wife, Edith, have four children and ten grandchildren, all of whom live in Winnipeg. We look forward to hearing Marvin share from Jacob’s story this Sunday.

What a beautiful evening we shared last Sunday at Douglas Mennonite Church! 💙✨

We had the joy of hosting Open Space, welcoming over 300 young adults from across Manitoba for an evening of prayer, worship, teaching, and fellowship.

One of the most meaningful moments was seeing some of our volunteers surrounded by the community in prayer. 🙏

We are so grateful to everyone who came, served, worshipped, prayed, and helped make the evening so special.

A special thank you to our DMC members for their generous donations and ongoing support. Your generosity helps make gatherings like this possible and allows us to open our doors and create space for our community. 💙

What a blessing to see our church filled with faith, worship, and fellowship! ✨
