Tonight begins Shavuot, when we celebrate the revelation at Mount Sinai, the moment when the Jewish people gathered in the wilderness to receive the Torah. To commemorate this sacred occasion, Rabbi Myriam Saitman and Rabbi Emeritus Allan Finkel will join Rabbi Carnie Rose, Rabbi Anibal Mass, Rabbi Neal Rose, and Cantor Leslie Emery for Tikkun Leil Shavuot

To end the holiday, join us this Friday, May 22nd, 7:30 PM, where Sherry Wolfe Elazar, along with cantorial soloists David Vamos and Janet Pelletier Goetze, will lead us in a special Shavuot Kabbalat Shabbat service!

We are postponing tonight's Trivia Night to Saturday, January 17th due to the conditions of the roads. The parking lot, ramp, and access road in front of the Temple have not been plowed and we do not know if they will be plowed before this evening.

We are most concerned for people who require assistance.

While considerable effort has gone into planning tonight's event, the safety of the people attending must be our paramount concern.

We hope you will join us on January 17th.

We are so proud to officially welcome Rabbi Myriam as the spiritual leader of Temple Shalom following her Installation on November 21st.

As the only female congregational Rabbi in Winnipeg, Rabbi Myriam represents the values at the heart of Reform Judaism and our congregation; diversity, inclusion, and the belief that leadership belongs to everyone.

Her presence is a powerful reminder of how far we've come and the path we continue to walk together.

Join us as we joyfully celebrate the Installation of Rabbi Myriam Saitman, a milestone moment for our congregation and the Winnipeg Jewish community.

The evening begins with a Kabbalat Shabbat service and Installation ceremony, followed by a festive Oneg with refreshments and fellowship. All are welcome to share in this special Shabbat of blessing, renewal, and connection.

The congregation of Temple Shalom welcomes the long-awaited return of the hostages as they reunite with loved ones and begin their journey of recovery. We send strength and courage to the families whose loved ones could not be brought back safely.

May you all experience refuah shlema (a complete healing).

We’ll gather in gratitude to celebrate their return home and Simchat Torah. Please join us on Friday, October 17th, at 6:00 pm.
