CFC MC10 Household Meeting
- GOING BEYOND OUR DIFFERENCES
To overcome this indifference, we must remember that God made us for relationships. He is in an eternal relationship: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus prayed that we “may all be one” in divine love. His life teaches us to overcome differences, reject indifference, see others, and love fully.
Jesus showed us that going beyond our differences begins with compassion. To clarify, the word “compassion” comes from the Latin “com,” meaning “with” or “together.” It also comes from “pati,” meaning “to suffer.” To have compassion is to suffer with another, to enter into their pain and experience.
