Unity requires humility: accepting our leaders and being open to taught, directed and corrected.

To foster a united community, we need leaders who lead with faith, humility, and sound formation. Members, in turn, are called to foster unity by being open to direction, formation, and correction. True unity grows when we choose Christ’s way and practice humility.

Humility does not mean giving up our own judgment or mind. It means recognizing that we do not have all the answers and remaining open to the wisdom, guidance, and correction God can give us through others. When we put aside our own preferences for the good of the community and value one another, we strengthen the unity of the Body and reflect the humility of Christ.
