And our common life is not only about how we serve. It is also about how we pray. How we worship. How we allow God to renew our minds and hearts, so that we may discern the will of God for us and this parish.

The purpose of Christian tradition is not to preserve a museum. It is to form a people capable of loving God and loving neighbour. Worship does not simply remember the past; it makes us available to the living God in the present.

Choral Evensong
Friday, July 10th, at 7:30 pm (organ prelude at 7:20 pm)
All Saints Anglican Church (521 Broadway at Osborne)

Join the newly formed Winnipeg ensemble Collegium Chamber Choir for a special send-off Choral Evensong before the choir departs to sing a week of services at Ely Cathedral, one of England's most magnificent medieval cathedrals.

The music will include Preces & Respones by W. Smith of Durham, Magnificat by C.T. Pachelbel, Nunc Dimittis by Rupert Lang, and Bleib bei Uns from Cantata No. 6 by J.S. Bach. Featuring conductors Andrew Balfour (Winnipeg) and Bryn Nixon (Vancouver), as well as Nathan Jeffery (Toronto) on the organ.

Following the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer, Choral Evensong combines scripture, prayer, and beautiful sacred music in a service of reflection and contemplation, with a homily preached by the Rector, Fr. Rob Schoeck. All are welcome. Parking is available at Canada Life.

Summer Worship Schedule begins July 5: we will be moving to one service on Sunday mornings, at 10 am. Our summer worship is a bit more relaxed. The choir, children’s chapel, and our hospitality team take a much-needed break, and we will have guest musicians and celebrants as Dietrich and Fr. Rob take well-deserved vacations. The 12:10 service will continue on Wednesdays. We will go back to our normal schedule on September 13.

Our services will be livestreamed all summer, so even if you’re away, you can still connect and worship!

The Wednesday service will continue at 12:10
