Come to Holy Redeemer to see the statue of Our Lady of Manaoag, who will be visiting us until April 25th! Parishioners are warmly invited to come and pray before the statue during these special days.

Our Lady of Manaoag (pronounced Mah-Nah-Wahg) is one of the most cherished Marian titles in the Philippines. She represents the Filipino experience of faith - resilient, tender, and rooted in trust that Mary walks with her children.

To all or our Parishioners, the staff of Holy Redeemer would like to wish all of you a very blessed & Happy Easter filled with the deep joy of resurrection!

Today’s Mass was celebrated by many of us, coming together for this joyful time. We also shared the joy with the many youth of our parish, as they explored the basement classrooms hunting for Easter Eggs filled and hidden by our Young Adults!

May we continue to rejoice this Easter season!

Thank you Father Anthony for blessing our Easter Baskets!

What goes in an Easter Basket?

P***a, a decorated round loaf of bread, symbolizes Jesus Christ, the Bread of Life.

Babka, a tall cylindrical sweet bread, symbolizes the richness of eternal life.

Ham, the richness of this meat is symbolic of the great joy and abundance of Easter.

Kielbasa, a spicy garlic sausage, is a symbol of God’s favour and generosity.

Cheese, bland in taste, reminds us of the moderation that we should cultivate in our daily lives.

Eggs are a symbol of new life.

Butter, often shaped as a lamb or decorated with cloves in the form of a cross, reminds us of the goodness of Christ.

Salt reminds us that we are “the salt of the Earth”.

The candle is a symbol of Christ, the light of the world!

Today, we begin our journey through Holy Week with Palm Sunday. Let us reflect on the sacrifices Jesus had given us so we may live a life of peace and prosperity. May we cherish the palm branches that we welcome into our homes, and renew our faith with kindness and love.
