Hello parents!
We have our 9-day Novena Masses, also called "Simbang Gabi". It starts on December 15 at 6 pm mass. This mass will be hosted by us - the Catechism Program! By tradition, this means we will be sharing our family favorite dishes to share with all of St. Patrick's and at the same time we will have our annual Advent Concert as well.
FAVORITE DISHES ASSIGNMENT
To make it a little more coordinated and have more variety when it comes to food to bring, please see the assigned type of dish you can bring to share on December 15:
Pork: CGS 1 Sat & Sun, CGS 2, Yr 3A & 3B Sat Chicken: Yr 4 Sat & Sun, Yr 5 Sat & Sun
Noodles: Yr 6 Sat & Sun, Yr 7 Sat & Sun Dessert: Yr 3 Sun & Yr 8 Confirmation
Of course, this doesn't mean you can't bring a dish that's different to your assigned dish type (especially if you want to share your specialty dish), this is just a guide to use for variety. Also, if you have more than one child, you can bring just one dish.
ADVENT CONCERT
For the Advent Presentation, we have prepared a little skit for the whole Catechism program to participate in and present right after the Simbang Gabi mass. We have assigned songs for each year level to practice and sing or dance.
In preparation for this, we have the next 2 classes to practice and then on Saturday, December 14 at 1:30 PM - 4:30 pm, we will have our GENERAL REHEARSAL.
NON-PERISHABLE ITEM
Since we're in the season of giving, we encourage your family to bring at least one non-perishable item to offer during offertory procession in the Simbang Gabi mass on December 15. All non-perishables will be donated to the Sisters of Missionaries of Charity's soup kitchen so they can feed those that are in need of warm food this season.
We hope you encourage full participation from your children in these coming events so they get the full experience in this very important season.
