I want to make you aware of a scam that has recently come to my attention.

Someone has been impersonating me by using an email address that appears similar to mine and is contacting people requesting Apple gift cards or other forms of financial assistance. Please be advised that these messages are fraudulent and have not been sent by me or by our church. This message is being sent from an account and someone has reached out to let us know that we are not the only Pastor's in the area that this has happened to.

Neither I nor the church will ever ask you to purchase gift cards on our behalf through email, text message, or social media. If you receive any such request, please do not respond, do not purchase gift cards, and do not provide any personal or financial information.

If you are unsure whether a communication is legitimate, please contact me directly using my known phone number or the church office before taking any action.

Thank you for your vigilance and for helping protect our church community from this scam.
