On Saturday, March 14, Team Gording swept their way to victory—bringing home the trophy for the 3rd year in a row at the annual Congregational Curling Bonspiel at the West St. Paul Curling Club! 🏆🥌

A huge thank you to Atlantic Garden City United Church for hosting another fantastic evening and welcoming curlers from NKUC. There were great shots, lots of laughs, and an all-around wonderful time had by everyone!

The trophy will be returning home to NKUC once it’s engraved with this year’s first-place winners as pictured: Ron, Brodie, Clayton, and Blake.

You may be wondering, with the weather we are experiencing today, whether the Blue Christmas service this evening is going ahead as planned.

After prayer and much thought we have decided to proceed. While this may not be best for everyone, the logistics of changing at this time with the rest of Christmas services still to come made it seem like it was better to stay the course.

However, we do not want anyone taking unnecessary risks to attend. Please know that the service will also be streamed on YouTube. You are welcome to worship with us in this way. The link to the service is:

It will go live at approximately 6:45 pm and the service will begin at 7:00 pm.

We wish you the grace of God in this Christmas season.

Please join us as we offer a Blue Christmas worship service. In the midst of the joyous Christmas season there are many who struggle to find the joy. In th...

🪑✨ *Your Community of Faith is Invited to Join 100 Tables!* ✨🪑As part of our Centennial celebrations, The United Church of Canada is inviting your community of faith to be part of 100 Tables—a national initiative that brings people together through radical welcome, public presence, and deep connection.

🧺 Host a table in your community—a place for conversation, a shared meal, or simply a restful summer moment. These aren’t just picnics. They are faithful acts of love and hope, shaped by local needs and rooted in God’s call to inclusion and belonging that we proclaim at Jesus’ Table.

Each table is a visible sign of the church’s ongoing promise: to meet people where they are at spiritually and physically, making space for real, meaningful connection.

📧 Learn how your community of faith can participate by emailing: [email protected].

On Friday, August 8, The United Church of Canada will offer a somber and historic apology to 2S and LGBTQIA+ communities. This service acknowledges the deep and lasting harm caused by the church, both in the past and still today. It's a difficult but necessary step towards healing and reaffirming our commitment to radical inclusion.

"The apology project was simply one opportunity for us to live this call and promise," says Rev. Aaron Miechkota.

Join us in person at Knox United Church in Calgary (9 AM MT) or livestreamed on Zoom with English and French interpretation. Learn more and register: https://united-church.ca/news/general-council-present-apology-2s-and-lgbtqia-communities-august-8

Show your support for children who were taken to residential institutions by using this orange banner in your social media profiles this month!

Since so many folks have asked: this graphic was developed in house by our graphics team in consultation with the staff in the Indigenous Ministries & Justice group and is not used to generate profit and may be used freely. It does not appropriate any Indigenous form of art, its just a simple stylized feather.
