Christ the Saviour is an Orthodox Mission Station in Winkler, MB, Canada that is under the wing of St. We are a part of the Canadian Archdiocese of the Orthodox Church of America underneath the episcopal care of Archbishop Irenee of Ottawa and all of Canada. Founded in 2016 by a small group of mennonite converts to the Orthodox Faith the Station serves a monthly liturgy and vespers by Fr. Since it

's founding the community has been steadily growing with new converts, catechumen, and inquirors. The monthly liturgy and weekly Reader's Services are currently being served at our space in Unit 6 390 1st Street in Winkler, MB. YOU ARE INVITED!

Have you heard about Orthodox Christianity and want to know more? Father Gregory Scratch will be joining us throughout April and May to answer your burning questions.
All are welcome to attend! Sessions will be held at Christ the Saviour Mission in Winkler, MB. Located at 207 Main St.
Please note, on April 24th, the session will follow a short service called Great Vespers. The Wednesday sessions will follow a short service called a Little Compline.

We understand that entering an Orthodox Church for the first time can feel daunting! Here are some answers to frequently asked questions - but feel free to email [email protected] if you have anything else to ask beforehand!

Is there a dress code?
No, we do not have a formal dress code.

What do I need to do during the service?
You will notice that our congregation stands for the majority of the services. Depending on the service, you may also see people going up to kiss the Gospel, bowing, doing the Sign of the Cross, etc. Please know you are not expected to do any of these things! We have a few pews available for those wanting or needing to sit (and no, nobody will judge you!). Many new visitors find it helpful to simply observe during the first few services they attend.
The majority of our congregation converted to Orthodoxy, so we know how it feels to be new and are happy to guide you through the service!
