🌙 MASJID AT-TAQWA | PIOUS ISLAMIC SCHOOL

📚 REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
Islamic Elementary School & Weekend Hifz Al-Qur’an Classes

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

Dear respected parents and beloved community members,

Give your children the gift of knowledge, strong faith, and beautiful Islamic character.

Our children are an Amanah (trust) from Allah سبحانه وتعالى. One of the greatest investments we can make is to provide them with an excellent education while nurturing their love for Allah, the Qur’an, and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Masjid At-Taqwa warmly invites families to join our two educational programs:

🏫 1. PIOUS ISLAMIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8

A welcoming Islamic learning environment combining the Ontario curriculum with Qur’an, Islamic Studies, and character development.

Our mission is to help children achieve academic excellence, strengthen their Islamic identity, and become confident, responsible, and respectful members of Canadian society.

📖 2. WEEKEND HIFZ AL-QUR’AN CLASSES

Every Saturday & Sunday

🕘 Morning Session: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
🕦 Afternoon Session: 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Students will learn Qur’an memorization, Tajweed, Islamic beliefs, basic Fiqh, and the beautiful manners taught by our beloved Prophet ﷺ.

❤️ MORE THAN EDUCATION — BUILDING CHARACTER

We want our children not only to memorize the Qur’an, but also to live by its teachings.

We teach them to:

* Honour and respect their parents and elders.
* Treat neighbours with kindness and compassion.
* Respect teachers, classmates, and people of all backgrounds.
* Practise honesty, patience, forgiveness, and responsibility.
* Help others and contribute positively to their communities.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ

“The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”

Sahih al-Bukhari

🚌 Rides available for students who need transportation.

👕 Student uniforms will be introduced in November 2026.

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

Today’s Jumu‘ah Khutbah topic is “Call of Duty.”

Every Muslim has responsibilities: a duty to Allah, a duty to our family, a duty to our Masjid, and a duty to our community.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

كُلُّكُمْ رَاعٍ وَكُلُّكُمْ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ

“Every one of you is a shepherd, and every one of you is responsible for his flock.”

Join us today and remind yourself of the duties Allah has entrusted to you.

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

As our children return to school, this Jumu‘ah khutbah reminds us that true excellence means succeeding in both Deen and Dunya—with strong faith, beneficial knowledge, beautiful character, and purpose. Join us as we reflect on how parents and students can pursue excellence in education while always keeping Allah ﷻ at the center of their lives.

🌿 BE A SOURCE OF RELIEF FOR SOMEONE TODAY

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“Whoever relieves a believer’s distress in this world, Allah will relieve his distress on the Day of Resurrection.”
📖 Sahih Muslim 2699

Our beautiful religion teaches us to care about the difficulties of others. Helping does not always require money. A kind word, sincere advice, visiting someone who is struggling, helping a family, supporting a neighbour, or simply being there for someone can make a tremendous difference.

Let us ask ourselves today: Whose burden can I help make a little lighter?

May Allah make Masjid At-Taqwa a community of compassion, generosity, brotherhood, and service. May He relieve the difficulties of everyone going through hardship and reward those who help others. Ameen.
