University Community Church We are a vibrant, welcoming, spiritually stimulating, LGBTQ+ friendly, Jesus-centred community. Mission: (Re)discover the grace and love of Jesus

We hope to bring together the students of the University of Windsor with the surrounding neighbourhood in Holy Community. We want to be a place where we can learn to love each other and our neighbours as we are, and in so doing discover who God is calling us to be.

Does life feel like it’s pulling you in ten different directions at once?

A lot of people are not just tired. They are emotionally scattered, spiritually distracted, and constantly reacting to pressure that never seems to stop.

In Matthew 9, Jesus looks at the crowds and sees people who are “harassed and helpless.”

Join us this Sunday at University Community Church, as we ask what happens when life starts pulling us apart.

In his viral 2026 Harvard commencement speech, Noah Eckstein named something many of us feel in our world right now:
“Somewhere along the way, the person sitting across the table stopped being a person and became an obstacle.”

That line gives us a lot to think about. Last Sunday at University Community Church, we reflected on Eckstein’s speech and looked at Luke 10:25–37, where Jesus pushes us to see past our assumptions,

This Wednesday, our food cupboard will be open from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, providing a helping hand to those in need. Anyone struggling or facing food insecurity can access our food cupboard and receive the support they require. Our doors are open to everyone.

May this day bring Sabbath rest to my heart and my home. May God’s image in me be restored, and my imagination in God be re-storied. May the gravity of material things be lightened, and the relativity of time slow down. May I know grace to embrace my own finite smallness in the arms of God’s infinite greatness. May God’s Word feed me and His Spirit lead me into the week and into the life to come.

We Welcome Rev. John Zondag this Sunday. Rev. John will reflect on Jesus’ words from Matthew 9 and what they reveal about the heart of God. In a world that often values performance, appearances, and judgment, Jesus points instead toward mercy, compassion, and steadfast love.

Join us as we explore how Jesus’ actions in the Gospel reading both reveal God’s mercy toward us and challenge us to show mercy to one another.

What happens when the church confuses certainty with faithfulness?

A lot of people are not walking away from church because they have too many questions. They are walking away because they are tired of arrogance, performance, and communities that act like doubt is failure. But Matthew 28 says something surprising: when the disciples met the risen Jesus, some worshiped and some doubted. So what do we do with that?
