Menorah lighting Happening today at 5:30PM at the River.

I know it is going to be cold, but today more than any other start to Chanukah we need to come together and bring light.

We will not let the terrorist attack in Sydney where one of my colleagues who arranged the big Menorah lighting at Bondi beach was murdered along with 11 others, stop us from showing our Jewish pride. Tonight we will dedicate the menorah lighting to them.

This is not a time to pontificate or hide. It is a time to gather in strength and unity, and shine our light at the deepest darkness in its most desperate moments before all darkness is transformed to light.

I would suggest that all freedom loving Canadians should be there to show support to the Jewish community. We all need to show up!!!

I am grateful to the Windsor police who have proactively offered us protection for tonight's event and will be there making sure we are safe.

There will be hand warmers for everyone and hot apple sider, donuts and latkes.

LIGHT WILL DISPEL THE DARKNESS!!!
