Various churches are choosing either September 19 or 20 to reach out to their surrounding neighbourhoods and serve in a simple and organic way, being the hands and feet of Jesus. Whether it’s a prayer walk or passing out water or doing a BBQ, it’s the church as a whole serving our Windsor neighbourhoods that weekend! For more information, email Gillian @ [email protected].

Sun. Sept. 20 we have our third annual anniversary celebration party downtown at POC. We are inviting people from the Temple Dr. Parkwood campus to help out! Go to the Parkwood website under missions and register to help make a difference in our downtown neighborhood! We can’t do it alone, it takes both campuses.

Church On The Lawn is on Sunday, September 13, at 10:30am!

Join us for an outdoor, worship service on our Temple Drive Campus lawn, followed by a free BBQ and fun for the whole family.

Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair! 🪑

Great job by our Parkwood Young Adults, packing swag bags for POC’s booth at United Way’s neighbourhood summer social event this Friday. It’s our opportunity to connect with our neighbourhood downtown, and our young adults are demonstrating exactly what it takes, all of us working together!

With over 80 Graduates of the Downtown Mission's Enterprise Job Training Program in just the past year and a half, plus over 400 in the preceding 7 years of the Program, we're excited to offer our first Community Job Fair on Thursday, August 27th at 2 pm.

This Job Fair is being put together to help former Graduates of our Enterprise Program find a better opportunity than what they currently have, but we are also happy to invite anyone from the community who's looking for a Job Opportunity to come by and meet with the local Companies who will be present to share any of their current Job Opportunities at their Company.

All are welcome and this is a FREE Event 🙂
