Hey Exchange KidsMin Team
Happy Almost Easter!
Can I tell you how fun it has been for me (and Netty) as we’ve been able to lean into our Kids/Fam Min at Exchange over the past almost 3 months in strong partnership with you!
Over the past 2 months we’ve been able to add some key peeps to our KidsMin team. Welcome to our Kids Min team Justin Taylor, Megan Cota, Rachel Doyne, Ryan Richardson (security). We welcomed back Kyla McLean (Nursery/Preschool) and Mr. Justin Taylor 😜 (security). In the near future Alicia Defausses and her daughter Kayla will be finding their place to serve too!
Thanks so much for stepping up in your commitment - many of you have served extra and because of you - it really is a joy to serve Jesus and our kiddos each weekend!
I wanted to give you some strategic updates as we lean into MORE in ‘24.
First, Krysta Jillard will be finishing up her role as our Kids Min admin the end of April. She has served so well and we knew it was going to be a short-term commitment until we got a better handle on Kids Min. Moving forward we are looking at a couple of key people who will step in and help in the admin/curriculum role. We’ll keep you posted. The Jillard’s aren’t going any where and will continue to serve in our Kids/fam ministry. If you get a chance celebrate Krysta with us. She deserves it - this is her second go round working with me. All I can say is great is her reward in heaven!
Second, we are still looking for a kids pastor. Pastor Drew, Andy and I along with the board continue to shake every bush and you might see some new people walking around our kids’ environments on a Sunday morn as we introduce them to you. This is all part of the discerning process and would ask you to keep this as a front burner prayer focus. We are trusting and are sure Jesus will provide the right person at the right time!
Third, near the end of April we’ll be rallying again to share some wins, updates and share some training. We will also want to get some input and feedback for what the Summer might look like. We have some pretty cool ideas brewing and would love to change it up a bit, give some of you an extended break (if desired or needed). But please just a reminder to align your summer holidays if you can strategically around our Sabbath Sundays (June 30, August 4 and September 1). I think that will go a long way in helping you feel connected and keep our momentum strong during the summer months!
We’re excited about our Easter services coming up.
Palm Sunday is this weekend 10a Cineplex with regular Kids Min. Good Friday March 29 @ 2pm at Waters’ Edge Event Center (no formal kids min, encouraging families to sit together but will be kids’ fun packages for them). Remember just one Easter Service Sunday March 31 @ 10a. So come early because it’s going to be so fun to have our kids helping us kick off worship in big church and then back to their own theatre where they will act out the Easter story with their very cool constructed puppets.
Again, we can’t say it enough, couldn’t do this, wouldn’t want to do this without each of you!
Love seeing Jesus become more to each one of you as you follow Him serving our kids!
