I want to thank everyone that have reached out to make sure I was ok. I can't/won't get into the details of the incident. I will say that it has been a difficult 2 days. I was on leave when I heard the news and decided to return early. I spent the night at the base medical unit, in the field with the troops and most of the late night with the military police.
The next day I spent the morning with my colleagues ministering to the troops in the field. The remainder of the day was done ministering to the first responders, medical teams, MP's, RCMP and others.
I finally crashed last night after working on 2 hours of sleep.
I am very thankful for my colleagues Padre Eduardo Aristizabal who is my teammate and friend, Padre Smallwood (LCC Military Chaplain) who is also on the ground. As well as others.
A heartfelt thank you to all those who called to make sure I was ok, as well as the support given to my wife Theresa Lutz. Especially thankful for my Church leaders who reached out both LCC & LCMS.
