Last Sunday's message - brother Mike spoke to us on the Book of Jonah - "What it teaches us is that: it is not about ourselves and how WE feel. It is about fulfilling our commission from Him 'Daily', to follow the leading of the Lord; and to accept His Blessings as He bestows them upon us and upon others who are around us - and to appreciate the great compassion that God has for us and for all of mankind who have earnestly repented of their sins - even great sinners like the Ninevites."

What it teaches us is that: it is not about ourselves and how WE fe...

It’s not a popular or often preached truth that the God of the Old Testament is the same God of the New Testament and the God we claim to worship in the church today. This God isn’t the idolatrous Jesus meek and mild, full of love to the point of justifying the sin as well as the sinner.

“Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, all ate t…

Anniversary Service - Sept 27, 2026
We are celebrating 129 years of commitment to the community of Inkerman by the saints at Inkerman; by the members of the Inkerman Wesleyan Church past, present and future. This old country church is a physical manifestation of that commitment. As such this old country church – the blocks, beams and boards of it – deserves respect for what it represents, a faithful commitment spanning three centuries. And this old country church deserves respect for the potential it still has. Let us not look down on this building and the commitment it represents.

Sometimes Christians will comment that they never bother with the Old Testament because as Christians we are under the New Covenant so all the Old Testament ‘stuff’ is irrelevant. The New Testament is full of Jesus’ love and promise. Why go back to the Old Testament and read about an angry God who even kills people. This sounds reasonable but it isn’t what the New Testament actually teaches.

“Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, all ate t…

A bill to stop MAiD for mental illness is in the House of Commons. Bill C-218 will be up for an hour of debate on Sept 23 and a vote on Oct 7.

What can you do?
Please pray. The Justice Minister hasn’t yet said whether the government will follow a committee recommendation to pause the expansion of MAiD for mental illness indefinitely. This expansion is set to take effect in less than 6 months, on March 17, 2027.
Contact your MP. Ask your MP to vote for Bill C-218. See info and tips at TheEFC.ca/C-218.
Share with a friend. Many don’t realize the law to allow MAiD for mental illness has already passed and will take effect soon unless a bill is passed to stop it.
