Evil thoughts are from the HEART.
Evil things come from WITHIN.
…and they defile a person.

Give all these your THOUGHTS…
Our IMPERFECT family, and friends, as well as our MALFUNCTIONING community, city, and country (and yes, Church!)— are sooo capable of discouraging, depressing, and destroying me and you.

I do NOT allow those THOUGHTS dominate my THINKING TODAY—I flood it with the TRUTH:
“But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to Him at all.)”

“RUN from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭22‬ ‭

We FIGHT by standing firmly and holding tightly to the Word —strong only in the Lord.
We RUN recognizing ourselves as easily overwhelmed and deceived by feelings and our human reasoning, letting sin rule in our mortal body by obeying its lusts. RUN!

Lust is a sinful-selfish desire that we believe to be good outside of what God has called good. It is putting our own will and pleasure above God’s— stealing, killing, destroying our heart-mind-body!

Truth and Honesty are integral to developing a deep relationship with God.
The Bible calls us to be honest about ourselves—so being dishonest within ourselves we’ll surely dislike the honesty of the Bible about life. There is honesty in the Bible that can make us all sooo uncomfortable!

1. I do not like being uncomfortable, but I am constantly finding it as God’s way of moving and maturing activities.
2. I fear the uncertainties of life, but I am discovering that this is God’s way of developing the fear of the Lord as the beginning of wisdom— wise living!
3. I am naturally about me, myself and I.
But in my recognition of the Bible’s truthful honesty, others become essential— making life better together, and stronger in the Lord!

What Kept Me Sane?

“Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ.” Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭8‬ ‭

My Mind:
“…everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.”

My Body:
Golf was my excuse and escape to reality— its been fun and fellowship, alone. The discipline of forgetting bad shots, which is many😂, and onto the next shot and the next hole.
I move my body to face now courageously, tomorrow by faith, and the end by God’s love, just, and mercy.
“For His sake I have discarded everything else.”

My Heart:
My emotions (feelings) can get me soo sinful and selfish!
“…counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ.”
The Truth was voiced out by God, written by prophets and apostles, that can be heard-read today, and the only thing that will last for life and the afterlife—unchanged, unbreakable, and unstoppable!

Reading ALL of I Samuel 17, again, when a young David killed Goliath the giant.

51 “Then David ran over and pulled Goliath’s sword from its sheath. David used it to kill him and cut off his head. 52 When the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they turned and ran. Then the men of Israel and Judah gave a great shout of triumph and rushed after the Philistines, chasing them…” 1 Samuel‬ ‭17‬:‭51‬-‭52‬ ‭

REALIZATION at its FINEST!
*Most of us are NOT David, we are Saul and the soldiers at the sideline, terrified and deeply shaken seeing Goliath— we only shouted in triumph and attacked AFTER Goliath was down and dead!

*I am NOT David if I check out my character and courage. I will be one of the soldiers, but choose to be no longer on the sideline.

*David’s life and throne were pointing us to JESUS—the One Who accomplished and completely eliminated the giant called death and fear that shakes us deeply, even today!

My Prayer.
GOD, help me be a courageous soldier
of your Church today—Faithful, Available, and Trustworthy.
Help me look back and be grateful.
Help me look forward and trust You.

Our Principled Character was and is always what we must stand for—and stand strong in the Lord!

Confidence of having eternal life— promised by God, the Author of Truth.
Promised before the world began!

“God does NOT lie,” I will NEVER, EVER, trace this Truth from my own mindset—everyone’s Spiritual leaders, parents, spouse, children, relatives, and friends, lied, have the tendency to lie or have broken their promises. Tendency to lie and breaking promises is a lie…SIN.
God in Jesus Christ did NOT!
He said I am the Way, the TRUTH...John 14:6.
Jesus is the Truth about the TRUTH.

The basis of our walk-the-talks matter.

We do not know what’s tomorrow.
We cannot make more time.
We waste time more than anything.

We can make more money and more things to accomplish—but we cannot make more TIME—but we give more time to work and things to accomplish!

Family and friends are often given the least of time until they’re dying or dead—we wait for hospitalization or funerals, no such thing as making up LOST time.

Today is a good time to know God, waking up alive tomorrow can be different, and there’s no knowing tomorrow.
Knowing more of God, His Word, reflecting, obeying, and responding is the greatest use of time!
Faith-Family-Friends need our best time, the best choice of time.

Troubles of ANY KIND.
Troubles that open and show our true colors of trust and obedience.
Troubles that made us stronger and closer to the Lord.

Troublesome is DIFFERENT.
When the TRUTH is denied, rejected, and life is lived on seeking attention— this is exhausting SELF that leads to sin.

Troubles as OPPORTUNITY.
When the TRUTH and RIGHTEOUSNESS of God are held high and we are rejected, denied, and ridiculed— this is exhausting LIFE that leads to joy.

Listen to JESUS;
”The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.“
‭‭John‬ ‭10‬:‭10‬ ‭
