Food Bank Update!

As we transition to our new shopping model, we are introducing a temporary daily client capacity to help reduce wait times and ensure we can serve everyone as well as possible.

Our hours remain unchanged on Mondays and Wednesdays:
Morning: 9:00–11:00 a.m. (capacity for 25 clients)
Afternoon: 12:30–3:00 p.m. (capacity for 25 clients)

These capacity guidelines are temporary as we work toward introducing an appointment-based system. Stay tuned for more information!

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to make our Food Bank a better experience for everyone in our community.

❤️ Did you know October is Pastor Appreciation Month?

This month, we want to show our appreciation for Major Mark and Major Jodi Dunstan and thank them for all they do for our church and community. We are so grateful for their leadership, dedication, and the heart they bring to serving others.

If you get a chance this month, consider dropping off a card, treating them to a coffee, or simply taking a moment to let them know they’re appreciated. You can also say a prayer of thanksgiving for them and their ministry.

Let’s make sure Mark and Jodi know how much they mean to our church family!

We had an incredible time partnering with the Durham Regional Police Service and Whitby Superstore for a Back to School Cram-A-Cruiser food drive! ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible. Your generosity and support mean so much to our community and help us keep our Food Bank shelves stocked for those who need them.

📚 Happy first day of school! 🍎

As a new school year begins, we’re praying for all the children, youth, teachers, staff, and families in our community.

This past Sunday, our church family took some time to write down prayers for the kids heading back to school. Prayers for safety, friendship, joy, confidence, new experiences, and lots of fun. And prayers for parents too, that they would feel peace and comfort as they send their kids off into a new year.

Whether it’s a child starting kindergarten, a teenager heading into a new grade, or a parent navigating another busy school year, you are in our prayers.

May this school year be filled with learning, laughter, new friendships, and many moments to be grateful for.
