This past Sunday at Redemption Durham, Pastor Ian reminded us that Jesus did not go to the cross despite our sin. He went to the cross because of it.

Mark 14 shows us a Savior who was never a helpless victim. Jesus willingly moved toward the cross, knowing exactly what awaited Him.

He didn’t merely ask for sacrifice. He became the sacrifice.

The worth of Jesus is seen most clearly at Calvary, where the only worthy One gave Himself for the unworthy so that sinners could be forgiven and brought near to God!

On Sunday, Pastor Ian addressed believers to stay spiritually AWAKE.

Believers are to: Discern carefully. Endure patiently. Trust completely. Hope confidently. Watch diligently. Work faithfully.

Jesus is coming again and we can’t let the distractions of this world lull us to sleep. We’re to be ready, keep serving, and fix your eyes on Christ until He returns.

Are you awake?

This past Sunday, Pastor Ian Hales preached from Mark 13 and reminded us as that Jesus is coming again!

If you have not yet trusted Christ, the call is clear: be ready - repent and believe in Jesus Christ.

In a world filled with uncertainty, Jesus offers forgiveness for your sins, peace for your soul, and the sure hope of eternal life.

Turn to Him today and be ready to rejoice when He returns.

This past Sunday, Ian preached from Mark 11:27–12:17.

The question from the religious leaders was essentially:“Jesus… who do you think you are?”

But the passage confronts us with the same question in reverse.Who do we think He is?

Because if Jesus truly has authority, it demands our allegiance.

“If you’re not a praying person, you are saying, ‘I don’t have faith in God.’”

This past Sunday, Pastor Ian preached “The King is Coming to Town” from Mark 11.

We were reminded that real faith doesn’t whisper safe prayers. It prays bold ones.

Pray that God brings the prodigal home. Pray that God softens the hardest heart. Pray for the gospel to reach the nations. Pray for real, supernatural transformation.

Apart from Him, nothing happens. No fruit. No growth. No lost people saved. Nothing.

But with God, nothing is impossible.

So pray, church. Pray big. Pray bold. Pray believing.
