6 Things Every Christian Should Pray for Daily (Take Note of No. 2 & 5)
A healthy prayer life is not only about asking God for our needs. It is also about seeking His will, growing in holiness, and becoming more like Christ. Here are six prayers every believer should make a daily habit.
1. Pray for a Heart That Loves God More
Ask God to increase your love for Him above everything else.
> “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart...” — Matthew 22:37
2. Pray for Wisdom to Make Godly Decisions
Every day brings choices. Ask God to guide your thoughts, words, and actions.
Take Note of No. 2: A wise decision today can protect you from regret tomorrow.
> “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God...” — James 1:5
3. Pray for Strength to Overcome Temptation
Ask God to help you resist sin and walk in obedience.
> “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation...” — Matthew 26:41
4. Pray for a Heart That Forgives
Ask God to remove bitterness and help you extend grace to others as He has shown grace to you.
> “Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another...” — Ephesians 4:32
5. Pray to Be Filled With the Holy Spirit
Seek God's power to live a holy, fruitful, and effective Christian life.
Take Note of No. 5: You cannot live the Christian life by your own strength—you need the Holy Spirit every day.
> “Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” — Galatians 5:16
6. Pray That Your Life Will Glorify Christ
Ask God to use your words, actions, and attitude to point others to Jesus.
> “Let your light so shine before men...” — Matthew 5:16

Final Truth
Daily prayer changes more than your circumstances—it changes you. As you seek God consistently, He shapes your heart, strengthens your faith, and equips you to live for His glory.
Prayer
"Father, teach me to seek You first every day. Fill me with wisdom, strengthen me against temptation, help me forgive others, fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and let every part of my life glorify Jesus Christ. Draw me closer to You each day. In Jesus' name, Amen."
