2. Children's program
Children's Sunday School- Here at WCC we are happy to offer weekly Children's Church for your children. We also see it as important that every child has opportunity to be a part of the regular Sunday service. For this reason, we invite the whole family to fellowship upstairs and after we worship together we invite the the kids to join our amazing team of teachers downstairs before the morning message begins. You are welcome to stay for a bit and see what your kids are up to, or you can rejoin them after the service. Be assured your children are treated with dignity and care with their comfort and safety foremost in our minds. Feel free to contact us, if you have any questions. As WCC is a growing family church, we are currently working on providing a quiet zone for new and nursing mums at the back of the sanctuary. Babies are a sign of life! We welcome them and are happy to provide a special place for you!
3. SHE network
The SHE Network was launched in the fall of 2019 as a resource for women of all ages and stages. Our goal is to bring women together to develop friendships, strengthen our faith and provide a safe place for both the every day challenges and needs of women in our area. Our hope is to provide a variety of ways to accomplish these goals. Whether it be a day apart, weekend retreat, small group studies or a coffee and muffin, we want you to be a part of what makes us SHE! Events will be posted as soon as current information is available. As we are now dealing with the whole new realm of isolation, we have decided to take our small group studies online.
4. Men's breakfast
Our men's breakfast occurs every other Saturday at 8:00 am at Schmidtsville restaurant in Wellesley. The food is great and the conversation is even better. Please join us for relevant study and a great time for men of all ages. During the COVID pandemic we are continuing to meet online. Please contact us and we will be happy to link you in.
5. Family night
Family Night is a biweekly get-together where we study and discuss the Bible in depth. Our time around the table is rich in conversation, and always an encouragement to study together! Currently we are studying the "scarlet thread" that ties the whole Bible together. During the COVID-19 isolation, we are continuing our meetings through Zoom.
6. About Pastor Heather
Heather has been in pastoral ministry for most of her adult life. In recent years Heather was the Lead Pastor for 7 years in Ottawa and is now serving as Pastor at WCC. She is also a conference speaker, published author and has been editor of a Christian magazine for women. She loves and lives for Jesus, and her family, in that order! She is married to Murray, the love of her life and is mum to two of the best humans on the planet and a Neena of four boys! Heather is definitely known for her humour and boundless love and energy for the church!
