【2026年8月29日萬錦1、2、3分會及多城1、2分會合辦滑鐵盧夏日悠閒一日遊】活動當天天公作美，微風徐徐，近60位佛光人歡喜同行，首站抵達Waterloo佛光緣，展開藝文體驗與禮佛行程。佛光山監寺知觀法師及義工團隊早已熱情迎接，眾人在法喜充滿的氛圍中參觀、交流並合影留念。為護持佛光事業，萬錦分會及多城分會共同贊助加幣400元，並將本次活動部分結餘款項撥出加幣500元，捐贈予Waterloo佛光緣作為修繕工程基金，以實際行動護持道場建設。隨後，一行人前往著名的聖雅各農夫市場（St. Jacobs Farmers Market），品嚐地道美食並自由活動。下午，大眾轉往Victoria Park公園漫步。值得一提的是，本次活動不僅讓大家走出戶外、親近自然、紓解身心，更將旅遊結餘款項撥出加幣500元，捐贈予佛光山教育基金，為佛光教育事業盡一分心力。

【Aug 29, 2026】Meditation in the Forest community event was held at Huron Natural Area on this beautiful morning. We had such an energetic circle today. 【Jul 25 2026 Tea Meditation community event】What a wonderful way to share a peaceful and joyful morning with the community! Visitors from the local community came to join our Tea Meditation today. We are so happy to have an experienced Tea Master, a wonderful YAD, Michelle Zou, guiding us. Many thanks to our two other newly trained Tea Masters Lily Li and Jian Zou, our event host Kin So, and our volunteers Yixing, Ian and Owen. It won't be such a successful event without any one of our great volunteers! ❤

Another peaceful morning at WBLC! Listening to the beautiful music, participants were enjoying the mindful practice of traditional Chinese calligraphy. It was followed by sharing of our Master's teachings in his book, Buddhadharma: Pure & Simple. Many thanks to our wonderful volunteer Kin So for leading this successful session today and bringing us the fresh strawberries from the local farm!

【2026年6月17日 妙新法師應邀蒞臨滑鐵盧佛光緣，與新舊信徒接心】分會副會長 Kin So 報道 --- 妙新法師是我們第一任輔導法師，他的出離心有如佛陀本懷捨離俗家之高位厚祿, 於佛光山與星雲大師座下剃度出家，宏揚星雲大師的人間佛教理念，行走人間菩薩道，至今僧臘達二十多年。

妙新法師應到會的當機信眾，解開了多種在學佛與行佛的生活中種種心结。

1. 何以佛教不信奉創造萬法之神？ 法師開示, 宇宙萬法乃皆因緣和合, 宇宙萬法沒有第一因，所以由神創造一切不能成立。

2. 修行是靠自力及真理不是外力，佛陀遺教謂：自依止, 法依止, 不異依止。這道明了一切。

3. 法師又開釋了常見, 斷見及無常見；常見的是萬物皆恆常不變永恒存在, 斷見是死了一了百了之偏執。無常迁流變化的法則。亦即因果的法則。法師接着講：不執斷与常兩則偏而取其中道實相。
即一切皆因果緣起固。

4. 又有當機眾問: 輪回與永生的異同；師道輪不是永生; 永生是不存在, 人死後輪回于天、人、阿修羅、餓鬼、畜生、地獄六道裏。六道輪迴是苦, 無常故苦！天人福报享盡會隨入地獄，受盡折磨, 永不超生。永生是一神論, 不論果报又誰能審判赐给你永生呢？輪迴是苦果, 要滅苦就是要精進勤修戒、定、慧, 息滅貪、慎、痴, 更要以六度萬行即指布施、持戒、忍辱、精進、禅定、般若六種法門。妙新法師更靈活地把這六種法門契入生活之中。

妙新法師開示妙語連珠, 幽默風趣, 大衆法益滿滿, 信受奉行。接心環節結束後，大家準備豐盛素食，喜與師父們聯誼共聚 ❤

[June 14, 2026: Working Together Through Wind and Rain—Waterloo Subchapter Successfully Support Vegetarian Good Fair – Report by Subchapter President Li Li] The Waterloo Subchapter successfully participated in the annual Vegetarian Food Fair at the Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto. Due to weather conditions, the event was moved indoors at the last minute. Faced with these unexpected changes, members remained undeterred; instead, they grew even more united, serving the public with joyful hearts. A total of 19 volunteers from the Waterloo Chapter participated in the event. Working together in harmony on preparations and sales, they coordinated and supported one another, fully embodying the spirit of collective effort. In addition to the charity sale, our members also supported the mobile team by directing traffic, fully demonstrating their dedication. Although the weather was less than ideal, the volunteers remained undeterred by wind and rain, their enthusiasm undiminished, and they successfully completed their tasks together, adding warmth and vitality to the fair. This event not only strengthened the cohesion among members and volunteers but also showcased the members’ positive, optimistic spirit and dedication to service in the face of change. 【2026.6.14 風雨無阻同心協力, 滑鐵盧分會圓滿園遊義賣 - 分會會長李黎報道】多倫多佛光山年度園遊會，滑鐵盧分會圓滿參與義賣活動。因天氣因素，活動臨時改至室內進行。面對無常變化，佛光人並未受到影響，反而更加團結，以歡喜心投入服務大眾的行列。滑鐵盧分會此次共有19位義工參與活動。大家齊心協力投入籌備與義賣工作，彼此配合、互相支援，充分展現集體創作的精神。除了義賣以外，也有會員支援機動組指揮交通，盡顯發心。雖然天氣不盡理想，但義工們風雨無阻、熱情不減，共同圓滿完成任務，為園遊會增添溫暖與活力。這項活動不僅凝聚了會員與義工的向心力，也展現了佛光人面對變化時積極樂觀、服務奉獻的精神。

【Jun 6, 2026 the 5th Dharma Sharing Session - The Heart Sutra in Daily Life】Special thanks to our Guiding Venerable, Venerable Zhiguan, for offering us another wonderful Dharma Sharing session on the Heart Sutra today! Next Saturday we will have our last Dharma Sharing session on the Heart Sutra. Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity! Today, one of the many inspiring thoughts embedded in this sutra that venerable had shared with us was that:

1. We shouldn't misunderstand emptiness as nothingness; rather, it refers to the continuity, the dependent origination of every things.

2. Karma, craving, grasping are the cause of life cycle. As The Saṃyukta-āgama suggests, through understanding the law of cause and effect and contemplating impermance, dispassion, and cessation in life, one can eventually have no attachment and able to let go.

3. Buddha preached the Four Noble Truth in his three turning of the Dharma Wheel, and presented with its 12 aspects. Intriguingly, the Heart Sutra reminds us that there is no Four Noble Truth, no path, no wisdom, and no attainment. Venerable clarified that "it doesn't mean there is nothing to attain, but it just reminds us not attached to the attainment."

We have ended our great Dharma Session today with small group discussions. Everyone seemed feeling the joy of Dharma learning 😊
