Until the steady rain arrived on Sunday, the rainbow-painted stairs 🌈 signalled Knox’s celebration of Pride Month with signs in the windows proclaiming “God’s Love Includes Everyone”. 🏳️‍🌈☮️🏳️‍⚧️

This Pride Month, we celebrate the sacred worth and belovedness of every person. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ May our welcome be more than words — lived out in compassion, justice, celebration, and belonging.
Happy Pride! 🌈

We come as we are—fragile, hopeful, and held.
God knows how we were made,
remembers that we are dust.
We remember, too—that we are finite, and blessed.
Blessed are the fragile.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of our Lenten journey. We invite you to join in a brief Ash Wednesday Service today, February 18th, on the Knox YouTube channel.

Jesus often taught through parables—simple stories that invite big wondering. Join us for an intergenerational, child-friendly worship service on Sunday, February 1st at 10am, where we’ll explore Jesus’ stories of a tiny mustard seed, a lost sheep, and a great banquet. Through storytelling, movement, music, and shared wondering, we’ll discover how these parables grow into a wide welcome at the Communion table. All ages are encouraged to participate—there will be space to move, imagine, and connect. Come ready to listen, wonder, and be fed.

Join in worship with Knox Waterloo for Community Connections Sunday, January 25th at 10am.

What does it mean to follow Jesus into the life of the community?

Matthew 4:12–23 describes Jesus engaging in public life by calling individuals, establishing relationships, and integrating faith into daily activities and responsibilities.

Community Connections Sunday encourages us to consider how faith extends beyond our church walls, through partnerships and work for the common good. Knox Waterloo values and supports organizations engaged in essential community-focused work.

Join us as we welcome the following Knox members to share insights about their engagement with local organizations as an expression of their faith.

Marilyn Hollinger – Waterloo County Quilters Guild
Andrea Milne – Tiny Home Takeout
Barb Prysnuk-Schat & Fred Schat – Community Support Connections

Come ready to reflect on how faith inspires action, fosters compassion, and invites everyone into the work of love and justice across our community.
