Kids' Christmas Pageant: The Animals' Perspective and Witness
This year's Kids' Christmas Pageant held during worship last Sunday helped us remember that the animals in the barn/stable on that holy night when Christ was born also witnessed the birth of Jesus and had a story to tell. Human and other-than-human beings are all part of the sacred circle of God's creation for whom Christ came to give life, love and restore.
Two of these photos were taken during the rehearsal on Sat Jan 20, and three of them during the service on Sun Jan 21.
Thank you to the teachers Connie, Carol, Christine, Olivia, Kiera, Sharon and Julie for helping make this pageant happen, to all the kids and parents who enthusiastically participated, and to Reiner, our tech person scheduled for that Sunday, whose extra efforts and contribution helped make the pageant a success!

What a lovely morning with rostered and lay leaders of the Two Rivers and Grand Ministry Areas, along with Rev Adam Snook from the Synod Office, as we shared ideas hope for present and future collaborations among our ES Lutheran congregations in the Waterloo and Wellington Regions.

We enjoyed guest preachers over the past two Sundays, Bishop Carla Blakley on Sept 21, and church member Andy Ngae on Sept 28. What a pleasure and delight! We heard the Bishop encourage us to "shock the world" with grace. And Andy shared his on the ground experience of growing up in Cameroon. He talked of the Canadian Lutheran World Relief accompanying those living around the Lake Chad basin today in restoring their lands and livelihoods from the devasting effects of climate change.
