The Congregation of the Resurrection in Ontario announces the passing of our brother, Fr. Murray McDermott, CR on August 28, 2026, in his 79th year of life and 49th year as a priest. We entrust Fr. Murray to our Risen Lord in the firm belief that he will enjoy new life in the Resurrection.

Epic: The Early Church is a ten-session DVD study that explores the people, places, and events that shaped the Church’s first five hundred years. Presented and authored by Steve Weidenkopf, Church historian from Christendom College and published by Ascension Press.

Offered by St. Louis Parish in Waterloo either on Sundays from 12:30 – 1:40 PM with lunch, or on Mondays from 7:30 – 9 PM with refreshments in Large Hall from Sep. 20 or 21 to Dec. 6 or 7. Happy Canada Day !!

O God, you created the earth to be our dwelling as we journey toward our heavenly home. We praise you for the riches of this land that feeds and sustains us. We thank you for the kindness of those who welcomed the newcomers who settled here. We thank you for the faith of those who worked to build a just society that honours you. We ask you to send your Spirit upon our gathering this morning. Open our hearts with gratitude for your blessings, with repentance for our failures, and grant us unshakeable hope, to build a future that glorifies you in all things. We ask you this through Jesus Christ, your Son and our Lord. Amen.
