Peter writes, “In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials” (I Peter 1:6). Some tests end on earth, but all tests will end in heaven.

One of the four values that govern our ministry is building community. We will encourage relationships that are real and rich with love for one another. Thank you everyone who joined us for our Family Fun Day picnic on Sunday, and for those who worked so hard behind the scenes to make it happen.

From the fifteenth to the nineteenth century, in the famous lace shops of Brussels, Belgium, certain rooms were dedicated to the spinning of the finest lace with the most delicate of patterns. These rooms were completely dark, save for a shaft of light. The thread was so delicate it was liable to break in dry air; hence, a damp subterranean atmosphere kept the thread pliable. Only one spinner sat in the room and spun the threads the same way a spider spins its web. In the same way, God spins his design in us in the dark. While we can’t see it at the time, be assured, he has a pattern in mind.
