Thank You for a Wonderful Parish Spring Social! 🌸 💜 🌸🌸 🩵 🌸🌸 💚 🌸🌸 💛 🌸

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Parish Spring Social. It was a fantastic evening filled with fun, fellowship, and great memories!

Special thanks to Deacon Mark Shaw and the Centre Road Band, featuring special guests Nancy and Cecilia Boss, for providing such fun, upbeat music that kept everyone entertained throughout the evening.

A sincere thank you to Domenica Brennan for donating all the beautiful raffle prizes! We are also incredibly grateful to all of our volunteers who helped with the bar and kitchen service, as well as those who decorated and set up the hall. Your hard work and dedication made the event a great success.

It was truly a wonderful night, and we look forward to gathering again with everyone at our Christmas Dance!

This morning, our parish community gathered to celebrate the Funeral Mass of our longtime parishioner, faithful friend, and devoted member, Garry Eckert. Surrounded by family, friends, and fellow parishioners, and accompanied by an Honour Guard from the Knights of Columbus, we gave thanks for Garry's life of faith, service, and friendship.

We are grateful to be part of such a caring and supportive parish community that comes together in prayer during times of both joy and sorrow. May Garry rest in the eternal peace of God’s loving embrace, and may perpetual light shine upon him. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. ✝️

Today we honour the Memorial of Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, who watches over the Body of Christ and guides all believers with maternal care.

Mary’s love and faithfulness to her Son make her a model of discipleship for the entire Church. She teaches us to listen, to trust God’s plan, and to remain close to Jesus in prayer and service. As Mother of the Church, she intercedes for us and strengthens the faithful in every age.

May Mary’s example inspire us to grow in holiness, deepen our relationship with Christ, and support one another in the life of the Church.

Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us.

Today we celebrate Pentecost Sunday, when the Holy Spirit descends upon the apostles and the Church is born.

Filled with the fire of the Spirit, the disciples are transformed—fear gives way to courage, and silence to joyful proclamation. Pentecost reminds us that the same Spirit is at work in our lives today, renewing hearts, strengthening faith, and sending us forth to share the Gospel.

May the Holy Spirit set our hearts ablaze with love for Christ, unite us in faith, and empower us to be joyful witnesses in the world.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful.
