Grace is not about learning a lesson. Often we read the parable of the prodigal son and try to pinpoint the moral lesson we should take away from it, instead of focusing on the gift of grace given to both the older and the younger Sons and allowing that scandalous, extravagant grace to wash over our own stories. ✨ H O P E ✨ sometimes it feels more like a tension to be held rather than a light in the dark, but we aren’t meant to carry that tension alone. The beauty of the Church is that we can take turns holding onto hope, pointing each other back to Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Heb 12:2).

We had an * E P I C * week of sports camp last week at our Centennial Park Campus! Many thanks to EPIC and Onside for bringing so many kids through our doors to hear about Jesus, and have a ton of fun while doing it!! In June we set aside 3 Saturdays to gather in various locations to Serve our City! What a blessing to be able to work alongside one another serving our communities in really practical ways. Thanks to everyone who was able to come out!

We all gravitate towards protecting what we perceive as ours: our autonomy, our possessions, our status, our reputation, or dreams… rather than recognizing that everything belongs to God, if he is truly Lord of our lives, and we are only stewards. We are not the owners.

At the cross Jesus secured the fruit we could not produce on our own, he implanted his Spirit upon our faith in Him which produces fruit in our lives. We come to receive and be reminded of what’s already been accomplished, that Jesus freed us to worship today and everyday!
