Our hearts harden to protect us from feeling that pain again. But here is the beautiful truth about what Jesus does when we finally choose to forgive: He doesn't just ask us to let go; He steps in and does the miraculous heavy lifting.
When you release the offense, Christ reaches into the darkest, most broken parts of your story. He touches that hardened stone of bitterness, anger, and betrayal, and melts it with His grace. He breathes life back into your chest so you can feel, love, and live fully again. Forgiveness isn't just about setting the other person free—it’s about letting Jesus give you your heart back. ✨

God asked Abraham to surrender the very thing he loved most: his promised son, Isaac. This ultimate test wasn't about losing Isaac, but about ensuring that a beautiful blessing hadn't become an idol in Abraham's life.
When we hold onto things—even good things like relationships, careers, or dreams—more tightly than we hold onto God, they take His rightful place in our hearts.
