January 1, Celtic Music for Meditation 2pm - 3:30pm.

Join us for a quiet afternoon of serene music as Denis Donnelly and Lanny Pollet present Celtic melodies on harp and flute. This is the perfect antidote to the busy Christmas season and a wonderful way to welcome in the New Year.

Festive hospitality follows. This is a come-and-go event, drop in early or late. There is no applause, just beautiful music in candlelight. There will be an opportunity to donate to our piano refurbishment project.

🎹 Our beautiful grand piano has been the musical heartbeat of St George’s for years. Now it needs our help. With your support, we can restore its rich voice and continue to fill the church with music! Every gift brings us closer—will you help us bring the Baldwin back to life? Donations are being accepted in the church office and there are two fundraising events coming up - Christmas Carol Sing-Along on Dec 6 and Celtic Music for Meditation on Jan 1. All welcome!

Alongside Hope Resilience Fund - Double your donation!

Alongside Hope has launched a Resilience Fund in response to the devastating cuts to international aid by the U.S. and other governments. The Fund will support many of our partners whose programs are now in jeopardy.

Touched by the terrible human impact of these funding cuts, a generous donor has offered to match all donations made to the Resilience Fund by June 30, 2025, up to $250,000.

You can read about it here:

“If we all give what we can, Jesus multiples it like the loaves and fishes.”

In the wake of massive cuts to international development assistance by the U.S. Government and some European governments, Alongside Hope partners are reporting that progress is being undone, programs are being forced to shut down, and families and communities are living in uncertainty about their fu...
