This weekend was a wonderful chance for several people in our congregation to get away and enjoy crafts, music, fellowship, waterfront, and worship together at our beautiful camp.

This Friday, Nov.25 is our last Family Fun Friday with Megumi! Families love no cooking night with many activities and a very different intergenerational mini-worship. Children, youth and adults play games like badminton, ping pong, and chess together and some like to do crafts. There is no worry about cooking meals; this is our Friday church and goes from 5:30-7:20pm. We had a great turn out last gathering! This time Hayley is preparing a lot of games for Youth Group(7:20-8:30)! Our theme this Friday is “Christmas”. Joan has been preparing Christmas theme crafts, etc.. Food will be Chicken, Ham and vegetables. If you are able to bring a salad or some desert, that will be great. We have ice cream!

I am honoured, overwhelmed and so thankful re all of your good wishes and blessings for my new journey – retirement! Wonderful gifts and wishes I will never forget.
All the memories of the last 17 years and a half years flashed back…. Spirit of God has been working in a mysterious way.
FirstMet has been a gathering of the whole people of God – all generations! Your important ministry continues. As you nurtured and helped me to do my ministry, may you continue to encourage and support people who serve you.
I am now filled with all your love in such a powerful way. Looking forward to walking with you this Advent and Christmas season and then I will start my new journey.

Nov. 20 (Sunday) MEGUMI’s Farewell (Appreciation Sunday) Although I will be working until the end of December, Nov. 20 is the official day for saying Good bye….
There is a special service and luncheon that day. I am very honoured that my mentor Rt. Rev. Lois Wilson will be coming from Toronto to preach. I understand that children and youth will be involved in this service. I am looking forward to seeing many of you there that Sunday. Marion Denton is kindly heading up this event.
