Catholic Women's League of St. Joseph the Worker The Catholic Women's League of St. Joseph the Worker is part of the CWL of Canada. We are located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

We support many local charities in our work for Faith, Service, Social Justice! Joseph the Worker is part of the Catholic Women's League of Canada. We believe that as human beings and as Christians, we have a responsibility to witness the Good News of the Gospel and to fulfill our Christian mission in the Church and in the community through spiritual growth, service, friendship and fun. CWL members and well intentioned men and women are invited to read and contribute postings to our page.

The SJTW Parish community came together for a great day recently. It all began with 2 godly men (1 who created a welcoming flyer design) and 1 (our Pastor) who inspired the Fundraising Chair. Allbeit a yearly fundraising event, the CWL ladies ran the tearoom, hosted the donation tables, 1 lady updated all our signs and we even hosted a raffle! Table vendors sold their treasures, KoFC sold out on the BBQ, our youth ministry helped to set up chairs and a huge clean up. 2 ushers jumped in - one put up our huge sign on the long fence and the other brought his truck to take the unsold to charity.

Add Table 18, a fundraiser for Anawim House's Community Laundry Program's big need.

We even had a historic donation originally from an early pioneer, the Bossi Family; Italians who celebrated the first Italian wedding when Victoria was first established as a Hudson Bay Company post. Anita Rossi's rocker now graces an Italian bistro, called Carlina's Cafe in View Royal.

All CWL proceeds will be given to charity.

Find authentic pasta dishes and Italian subs! Did i mention homemade tiramisu? On Old Island Highway in Victoria (Catering, takeout or have a seat if you can find a chair!)
