The teachings that Buddha Shakyamuni brought to our world 2600 years ago are a source of much needed inspiration, and are a practical guide to becoming a friend to the world. Instead of feeling helpless and disconnected, we can develop our ability to become a friend to everyone – our family, our friends, our community. Every action motivated by cherishing love for all living beings will help create peace within our hearts and in our world.

Empathy protects us from frustration with others' behaviour because we see the world from their perspective. We don't need to agree with what they are doing or saying, but we can imagine the situation from their perspective, which leads to more acceptance, tolerance, and compassion. 💖

To really understand and love others, we have to out ourselves in their shoes. This is the practice of exchanging self with others.
