People often wonder: what is Unitarian Universalism?

We asked our members. Here's what they said.

The Unitarian Universalist Community of Victoria is a progressive spiritual community centred on shared values rather than shared doctrine. Agnostics, atheists, Buddhists, humanists, seekers of every kind — nobody has to check their beliefs at the door. What UU's share isn't a belief system. It's a commitment to being better humans and taking care of each other and this planet.

One member put it this way: "So many times people ask us: can I come? Do I need an invitation? Do I need to be a member?"

G&G Committee Garden Party: Saturday, May 23, 9 am—3 pm - Please RSVP!

This year's Spring Garden Party will feature a truck-convoy haul of ‘harvested’ spurge laurel from UUCV’s forest undergrowth to the Hartland Landfill -- a collaborative effort with Island Montessori House School (IMHS) families -- in addition to numerous other seasonal tasks to help prepare the grounds for community enjoyment. There’s something for everyone... and the luncheon will be memorable!

- bottomless coffee ‘n muffins at 9 am
- d e l i c i o u s buffet lunch by 2 pm
- kids can earn toonies!

Here’s what's going on…

- leaf clean-up
- garden bed clean-up
- deadheading/weeding
- forest pathway maintenance
- stream bed and pond maintenance
