In Loving Memory of Draginja (Dragica) Lepur.
Draginja passed away peacefully at the age of 85 in Victoria, British Columbia. Born in Nunic, Croatia to Joso and Milica Kardum, she was the eldest of eight siblings.
In 1966, Draginja left Croatia to join her husband, Joso Lepur, in France, and later immigrated to Canada with their son, Radoslav, in search of a better future. A woman of quiet strength and deep faith, she lived by the belief that family always came first. Through her generosity and determination, she helped many relatives and friends establish new lives in Canada.
Draginja was known for her warmth, hospitality, and unwavering support of her family and community. In later years, she shared her life with her partner, Eddie Toth, enjoying companionship, travel, and time together.
She is lovingly remembered by her children Radoslav (Carmen) and Cindy (Eunice); her grandchildren Natasha (Adam), Brittni, Mychael, Matthieu, Maximillian, and Saoirse; and her great-grandchild, Anastazja.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 30 at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Leopold Mandić Croatian Church, followed by entombment at Royal Oak Burial Park at 1:30 p.m. A reception will follow at McCall Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Croatian Catholic Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.

S dubokom tugom javljamo da je 22. prosinca 2025. godine preminuo Marko Kardum, voljeni suprug, otac, djed i dugogodišnji član naše hrvatske župne i šire zajednice u Victoriji.
Marko je bio čovjek snažne vjere, velikog srca i nesebičnog služenja. Bio je duboko uključen u život Crkve i zajednice, predano pomažući drugima kroz brojne humanitarne i volonterske inicijative, kako u Kanadi tako i tijekom Domovinskog rata.
Zahvalni smo za njegov život, primjer dobrote i ostavštinu koju ostavlja svojoj obitelji i svima nama.
Oproštaj (posjet) bit će održan u ponedjeljak, 29. prosinca, od 15:30 do 17:00 sati u pogrebnom domu McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC.
Sveta misa zadušnica slavit će se u utorak, 30. prosinca u 11:00 sati u crkvi sv. Leopolda Mandića, 4081 Gordon Head Road, nakon čega slijedi ukop na groblju Royal Oak.
Nakon ukopa, svi su pozvani pridružiti se obitelji na zajedničkom ručku u dvorani crkve sv. Leopolda Mandića, u znak sjećanja i proslave Markova života.
Umjesto cvijeća, donacije se mogu uputiti Hrvatskoj župi sv. Leopolda Mandića.

Neka mu Gospodin udijeli vječni mir.

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Marko Kardum on December 22, 2025. Marko was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and a longtime, devoted member of our Croatian parish and the wider Victoria community.
A man of strong faith, generosity, and compassion, Marko gave selflessly of his time through church involvement and many charitable and humanitarian efforts, including support for those affected during the Croatian War.
We are grateful for his life, his example, and the legacy he leaves behind with his family and community.
Visitation will be held on Monday December 29 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. at McCall Gardens Funeral Home, 4665 Falaise Drive., Victoria, BC. A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, December 30 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Leopold Mandić Catholic Church, 4081 Gordon Head Road, followed by interment at Royal Oak Burial Park. Following the interment, all are invited to join the family for lunch at the St. Leopold Mandić Church Hall in celebration of Marko’s life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Leopold Mandić Croatian Parish.

May he rest in God’s eternal peace.
