"Summer's coming! We know that the warmth and light is avidly anticipated - but we're supposed to be smart... and wearing a hat in the sunshine is a sure sign of 'smart' (in both meanings of the word). We have a wonderful choice of hats - and a mirror so you can see how smart you look. The sundresses are pretty too - remember the sunscreen!
As always, thanks for all the nice comments we receive about our little Shop. We are happy to be here!"

If you love wearing linen as much as we do, come by the shop Friday and Saturday!

Holiday Entertaining with a Twist
Holiday entertaining with a twist means that this year YOU can use a variety of pastel colored pieces rather than the traditional reds, and greens to set your holiday table.... This week's hall display is featuring pastel dishes from Pfaltzgraff company, and others that can be used for the holidays, and the rest of the year too... There's also champagne flutes clear, and black stemmed, clothing, a variety of cookbooks, giftware, kitchen linens, black placemats, Scotch glasses, steak (or turkey, if you choose to cook a traditional dinner) knives, white tablecloths, a vintage cookbook titled "the American Woman's Cook Book", and so much more...
* It is commonly reported that the Pfaltzgraff company was founded in 1811 in York County, Pennsylvania.[1] The company states that the Pfaltzgraff family came to the United States in the early 1800s, and set up a potter’s wheel and kiln on their York County homestead. Their original pottery market was "as far as you can get with a horse and wagon and then get back home the same day". In 1889 brothers George and Henry Pfaltzgraff went into partnership, and built their first factory in 1894.[2]

Pfaltzgraff is known for their stoneware collections and has released many patterns,
