Minister of Housing & Municipal Affairs
Lord, we lift up Minister Boyle. We pray that You would inspire her with solutions so that all may have suitable housing. We pray that Christine will be attentive to Your voice as she leads our province in Housing and Municipal Affairs. Thank You for her diligent service thus far, both municipally and provincially. Thank You that she has answered Your call to lead. May You give her clarity in words and fervour in action to accomplish Your good and perfect will. May it be so evident in her that she radiates Your love and mercy, Lord. In Your name we pray, Amen.

Christine Boyle was elected as the MLA for Vancouver-Little Mountain in 2024. She is the Minister of Housing and Municipal Affairs and previously served as the Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation.

Christine was elected to Vancouver City Council in 2018 and re-elected in 2022. As a councillor, Christine led the city's work on affordable housing and climate action and co-chaired its UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People’s Task Force in partnership with the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. She was also council liaison to the Urban Indigenous Peoples’ Advisory Committee and sat on the Metro Vancouver Indigenous Relations Committee.

Before entering municipal politics, Christine spent her early career working in front-line social services and community outreach in Vancouver and multi-faith climate advocacy nationally. She has an undergraduate degree in Urban Agriculture and First Nations Studies from UBC. As a student intern, Christine worked on Amnesty International's 2004 Stolen Sisters report.

Christine grew up on the territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) people, and loves cooking and spending time outdoors. She lives in Vancouver with her husband and two children.

Dear God, we thank You for MLA Amelia Boultbee of Penticton–Summerland. We thank You for her heart to serve and to take on all that You have called her to. We pray that she would do this with honour and integrity. Heavenly Father, continue to give her guidance and wisdom, and we also pray for joy. We know that the joy of the Lord is our strength. We pray that it would be so for Amelia as well, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Amelia Boultbee is the MLA for Penticton-Summerland. She was first elected in 2024. After completing her high school education in Penticton, Amelia pursued higher education at the University of British Columbia (UBC), where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She later attended UBC Law School, graduating with a Juris Doctor degree. Her professional journey includes working as a lawyer in downtown Vancouver and in veterans’ affairs where she advocated for veterans’ healthcare benefits. Amelia also successfully ran for Penticton City Council in 2022. She is a fourth-generation Pentictonite.

Rob was elected MLA for Saanich North and the Islands in 2024. He has dedicated his career to fighting for social and economic justice, as well as environmental protection. His previous work included representing First Nations governments in private law for over 25 years, as well as positions as a financial comptroller for a major Canadian bank, a public servant in the Ministry of Finance, and leading the team responsible for developing provincial laws relating to freedom of information.

Rob has lived on the Saanich peninsula for many years, now calling Pender Island home.

Jennifer Blatherwick was elected MLA for Coquitlam-Maillardville in 2024. She is the Parliamentary Secretary for Gender Equity.

Before being elected to the Legislative Assembly, Jennifer was a two-term school board trustee for School District 43 and was the past executive director for the Access Youth Outreach Services Society. Jennifer has been lucky to raise five children in Coquitlam.

Rosalyn Bird is the MLA for Prince George-Valemount and the Official Opposition Whip. She was first elected in 2024. Rosalyn's career in the Canadian Forces is marked by dedication and success. She embarked on this journey in 1990, starting as a Boatswain and later re-classifying as a Resource Management Clerk. In 2005, Rosalyn was commissioned as a Naval Logistics Officer.

During her career, Rosalyn deployed in support of NATO and played a role in Forward Logistics Support for Southeast Asia relations, Op Apollo, and Op Altair in support of Afghanistan. Her service took her across Canada, from BC to Nova Scotia and as far north as Ellesmere Island, Nunavut, at CFS Alert.

Garry Begg was first elected as the MLA for Surrey-Guildford in 2017. He is the Parliamentary Secretary for Surrey Infrastructure to the Minister of Infrastructure. Garry previously served as the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General.

Before being elected, Garry was a career RCMP Officer serving in various locations and in a wide variety of duties for over 38 years, the last eight in Surrey, where he was a District Commander, Watch Commander, and Operations Support Officer. His years of service and involvement in Surrey left him with a deep understanding of the issues facing the community. Garry is married, with two adult children and two grandchildren. He was born and raised in Ontario.

We pray for innovative inspiration so that families may thrive in BC. We pray that all children may thrive under her leadership. We pray for all students and educators to be well supported. Lisa Beare was first elected as the MLA for Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows in 2017. She is the Minister of Education and Child Care. She previously served as Minister of Citizens’ Services, Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport, and Minister of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills.

Lisa grew up in Maple Ridge and has been raising a young family in the community. She previously worked as a flight attendant and pilot. Lisa demonstrated her commitment to good governance early on, with a diploma in local government management from the University of Victoria.

Lisa got her start in politics in 2014 when she was elected as a member of the local school board. Her time on the school board and her own experiences as a mother led her to become an advocate for quality public education for all British Columbians.

Before venturing into the realm of politics, Bruce Banman carved out a successful career as a chiropractor and owned his own small business. He also served on Abbotsford City Council for several years. Bruce has spent over forty years as a proud resident of Abbotsford.
