Central Youth Victoria We want to equip our students to be Spirit-led followers of Christ who are on mission to build the Kingdom. Open to all youth in grades 7-12.

Our mission is to reach the youth of the CRD and teach them about the love of Jesus through genuine relationships and authentic community. FRIDAY NIGHT YOUTH is an awesome mix of fun, teaching, and intentional discipleship. Whether you've grown up in church or it's your first time at youth group, we are glad you are here and we can't wait to have you with us! Join us every Friday from 7:00 PM - 9:

00 PM at Central Baptist Church. FRIDAY NIGHT "AFTER HOURS" | *Starting in Jan 2022! After youth, we have an open hangout and connect time from 9:00 PM - 9:30 PM. For those of you who want to hang out a little longer, this is the space for you! (Regular programming will still run from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM)

GAMES
From dodgeball to sardines, you never know what to expect when it comes to games. We play everything from "Capture the Flag" to "What Am I Eating?". Game time is always a fun time, especially when there's a chance to win free candy! TEACHING
Our teaching and messages are real, applicable, and are geared specifically towards our youth; starting coversations, guiding them through tough topics, and helping guide them in their individual walks with Christ. SMALL GROUPS
Community is at the heart of our small groups. Every student that comes to youth group is placed into one of our "small groups". These groups are organized by grade and are led by our amazing team of Youth Leaders! Our small groups get together every Friday night following the teaching, and are a place where open, honest, and genuine conversation can take place. Our leaders are passionate about guiding and discipling students, and the first place that starts is in small groups!

Favourite Youth Memory: Pretty much any city wide youth event, but the KGB run in like 2017
Favourite Tuck Shop Treat: Pineapple Bubbly's (i know, it's lame.. growing up it was cherry doctor peppers)
Fun Fact: I once witnessed a raccoon fight club

Anyone that knows Carson knows that he has been a significant part of Central Youth since he was a teenager. Officially, he's been Youth Leading since he returned from Kaleo in 2020. He ran the tech (And weather reports) for Youth Live throughout the pandemic and has continued to oversee all the tech + media side of youth. He's now spending his summer serving as the videographer and program assistant at Camp Imadene.

Katie has been Youth Leading since graduating in 2019. Since then she's studying History at Uvic and working in multiple positions around the church (Kids Intern, Office, unofficial Youth intern). She is now employed as the Community Assistant at Lambrick Park Church where she spends way to much time debating the names Centrick vs Central Park.

Fun fact: I have been playing piano for 17 years and my favourite hobby is cycling

Adam has been Youth Leading for seven years and been attending Central his whole life. He loves seeing youth grow in his leadership and has been an active part of the Student Leadership Program. If you see Adam walking around he most likely has a red barn sandwich or swarma in his hands. He's both a Church Board Member and professional chair stacker.
