June Camp Whitney Newsletter
Summer is Just Around the Corner!
As we prepare for another exciting season at Camp Whitney, we want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU, to everyone who joined us for the “Wake the Lake” our spring clean-up and other workdays. Your time, energy, and dedication have made a tremendous difference. Because of our amazing volunteers, the campgrounds are looking wonderful. The beach area is ready for swimming and games, the fire pit area is prepared for campfire songs and stories, and the cabins are welcoming and ready for campers. There are still a few projects to complete, but we are excited to welcome our staff and campers in July and begin another summer filled with faith, friendship, fun, and adventure.
Camp Dates 2026
• Scamper Camp (Ages 6–8): July 6–10
• Primary Camp (Ages 8–10): July 12–17
• Junior Camp (Ages 10–12): July 19–24
• Senior Camp (Ages 13–15): July 26–31
We encourage you to share these dates with families in your congregation and community. Camp is a wonderful opportunity for children and youth to build friendships, grow in confidence, enjoy the outdoors, and explore their faith in a caring and supportive environment.
Sponsorships are available to help ensure that every child has the opportunity to attend camp. If you know a young person who would benefit from a week at Camp Whitney, please help us spread the word. We also have a special offer in the month of June, “Bring a Friend” and for both registrations you will receive $50 off each registration.
We are also looking for one or two kitchen/camp volunteers during the camp weeks. Volunteers would be needed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. If you enjoy helping behind the scenes and would like to support our camp ministry, please contact me for more information. Thank You for Supporting Our Bingo Fundraiser
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the churches and volunteers who participated in our recent Bingo Fundraiser. Thanks to your support, the fundraiser was a tremendous success.
A special thank you goes out to several churches that worked hard to complete their bingo cards and receive a Black Out honour!! Your enthusiasm, commitment, and dedication is inspiring, and we truly appreciate the effort you put into supporting Camp Whitney.
Your generosity helps us maintain our facilities, support our programs, and continue creating meaningful camp experiences for children and youth.
Interested in Join Our Board
Camp Whitney is led by a small volunteer board that is passionate about providing a safe, fun, and faith-filled camp experience for children and youth. We currently have seven board members, and with two members on medical leave, we are looking to grow our board to help share the workload.
We are especially seeking a Board Recording Officer, but we welcome anyone who would like to contribute their time, ideas, and talents to support Camp Whitney.
