As we prepare to celebrate the 101st anniversary of The United Church of Canada on June 10, we give thanks for the faith, courage, and vision that have sustained our church through more than a century of ministry.

Reflecting on our past with gratitude, we also look forward with hope, trusting that God continues to lead us into new possibilities.

In a world that is both beautiful and broken, we are called to discern the new things God is doing among us and to embrace a future marked by renewal, compassion, and faithful service to our neighbours and communities.

Union Sunday Prayer

God in whom we live and move and have our being:
From sea to sea to sea we gather in prayer;
from generation to generation we sing;
on this anniversary we give thanks
for your care
guidance
and correction.
In this heritage of trust
we pray for this United Church
and for faithful living on this land,
Our Source of Life, Living Word, and Bonding Love:
Amen.

This June, we recognize both National Indigenous History Month and Pride Month. We honour the histories, strength, sovereignty, and diverse identities of Indigenous and 2SLGBTQ+ peoples across Turtle Island. Our solidarity, advocacy, and celebration do not end when June is over.
🤎❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🩷🪶
We must continue to uplift and protect Indigenous and 2SLGBTQ+ communities through everyday action, care, and collective responsibility.

May it be so!

May it be so!

God of the Rainbow,
More than those who watch for morning,
Our souls wait, for the day when each of us,
of every gender expression, gender identity, and sexual orientation
knows that we are meant to be:
loved, cherished, and protected; and
that we are to be:
proud of our identities; and
celebrated.

For we are your imperfectly perfect children,
called to reflect Christ’s radiant light,
embody Christ’s radical love; and
build your beloved community,
especially when storms of fear and hatred rage around us.

And so, more than those who watch for morning,
we, in our great diversity,
wait for your promised rainbow of peace,
as we work towards a world where every gender expression, gender identity, and sexual orientation is affirmed as beloved; and,
every soul’s spirit is able to sparkle, shine and sing your dream with pride.

May it be so,

Amen.

Here is today's sermon - How deep is your faith?

Have you ever been known as a 'doubter'? We need need to go deep into the waters of our baptism to get the answers we need. Doubting - doesn't really get in your way, but it challenges us to grow deeper in our faith.

Did the rain keep you away from worship today?? We did record the scriptures and message just for you (unfortunately, they were recorded separately) The sermon will follow. The person doing the recording was moved so much by the messages, she forgot to pause and then record again 😏Enjoy!
