A friendly reminder to our church family that you are invited this Sunday after service to join us for a church potluck.

This is a special time to grow closer as a church while enjoying fellowship with friends, new and old.

Please bring a dish to share if able. If your last name begins with the letter A-K, we kindly ask that you bring a side, and if your last name starts with L-Z, a dessert.

Thank you in advance for your willingness to share and to be a part of our ever growing family!

What are your hopes, prayers, and dreams for your family, community, and town?

We invite you to join us in creating our community-wide "Hope for Vegreville" Mural and to ensure that your hopes and prayers are represented.

The mural will depict a beautiful landscape of our beloved town, with a tree growing beneath the warmth of the sun. Each leaf on the tree will represent a hope, prayer, dream, or wish shared by a child or youth in our community. The sun serves as a reminder of God's presence and faithfulness, nourishing our hopes and prayers as they grow, just as He guides and sustains our community.

Together, this mural will become a visual representation of the things the children and youth of our community are trusting God for and the future we hope to see in Vegreville.

This event is hosted by Vegreville Alliance Church and is open to all children and youth, regardless of background or faith tradition.

July 8 | 1:00–4:00 PM
For children and youth ages 10+
Parents are always welcome to join and participate, along with younger children if supervised.

Snacks will be provided as we paint, listen to music, and spend time reflecting on our hopes for the future and the God who gives us hope.

No registration is required, simply come ready to paint and contribute your own leaf to our community tree.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us through Facebook Messenger or email the Youth & Child Coordinator, Tirzah, at [email protected]

Summer is looking busy at Vegreville Alliance Church!

As we head into a season of child, youth, and family friendly programming, our hope is that these events would be more than just fun things to do. We want what we do to help our kids and youth grow in friendship, joy, and faith.

Please note that events marked "For grades 6-12 Light House Youth" are for our youth group only. We just wanted to share with our church family what we are up to!

All other events are open to the community based on the ages listed. A parent or guardian are required to accompany their children for the Teddy Bear Picnic and Family Movie Night, and are warmly invited to join us for the "Hope for Vegreville" Mural.

More details on each specific event will be shared over the next few weeks.

We are looking forward to a summer of fun, fellowship, and growing together in Christ!

Yesterday was a beautiful and deeply moving day in our church family.

We celebrated the baptism of 9 individuals, 4 adults and 5 youth each stepping into a new season of faith and publicly declaring their commitment to follow Jesus. Throughout the day, powerful testimonies were shared, tears were shed, and we were reminded just how faithful God is in every season of life.

One prayer came up again and again was for each person baptized to continue experiencing a true sense of family and community within the church. That they would know, deeply and personally, that they are loved, supported, and never walking alone.

As a church, we want to continue being that place. A place where people are known, welcomed, and cared for. A place where we give what we can, our time, our encouragement, our prayers and to then trust God to use it to change lives.

We invite you to join us in continuing to pray for each of those baptized as they walk forward in faith. Pray that they would grow strong in the Lord, feel rooted in community, and continue to experience His love in powerful ways.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
2 Corinthians 5:17

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together… but encouraging one another.”
Hebrews 10:24–25

What a joy it is to walk this journey together.

This week our church and youth group are celebrating!

Just this past Sunday after our regular church service, our youth group held a bake sale auction. This wasn’t a sale just for the sake of some tasty treats, but instead it was an opportunity for our congregation to support the 22 youth and youth leaders attending Youth Quake in Saskatchewan this year.

Thanks to the donations of our generous and loving church family, the fees of all 22 attending Youth Quake this year will be covered in full!

For anyone who doesn’t know, Youth Quake is a party with a purpose, a weekend celebrating the power of God and the gospel. This will likely be a time of great spiritual and relational growth for each of the youth and leaders attending and we’re all so excited!

Thank you again to our church family that always shows up to love and support our youth and community.
