Today the Parish of St. Padre Pio was so blessed to have his Excellency Bishop John Boissonneau celebrate our Silver Jubilee Inaugural Mass. During the mass, the Bishop unveiled our Silver Jubilee logo, which will be displayed all year. After the mass, his Excellency blessed the newly designed prayer area of Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto. This prayer space will be enjoyed by parishioners and the community at large. Stay tuned for photos of the beautiful Inaugural Mass.

ST. PADRE PIO PARISH SILVER JUBILEE YEAR

June 2026 to June 2027, St. Padre Pio Parish will be celebrating our SILVER JUBILEE YEAR! With this joyous milestone, spiritual events, and community-centred activities and gatherings will be enjoyed by new and long-time parishioners, as well as the greater faith community.

To kick-off the celebrations, we are honoured and excited to celebrate our Silver Jubilee Inauguration Mass at 12PM, Sunday, June 28th, 2026. Our celebrant for this special mass is Bishop John Boissonneau, Auxiliary Bishop of Toronto, who is responsible for the Northern Region. A light pasta lunch and fellowship will take place outside the church, following the mass. On this day, the Bishop will also bless the newly designed, ‘Our Lady of Lourdes Prayer Grotto’, constructed just outside the side doors of the church. All are welcome to join us in thanksgiving.

Throughout this year more events and gatherings will take place. A detailed schedule on the specific celebratory events and dates will be released soon. Stay tuned!

Heavenly Father,
On this Father’s Day, we thank You for all fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, stepfathers, and father figures who reflect Your love through their care, sacrifice, and guidance.
Through the intercession of St. Padre Pio, bless them with strength in times of difficulty, wisdom in their decisions, patience in their families, and joy in their vocation. May they lead with faith, serve with humility, and always trust in Your providence.
We also remember fathers who have gone before us. Grant them eternal rest and the peace of Your heavenly kingdom.
May the Holy Family inspire all fathers to be examples of love, faith, and devotion in their homes.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

We congratulate David Della Rossa and Scott McMaster who became permanent Deacons this past Saturday, May 23rd, 2026. Deacon Scott will be joining the Parish of St. Clements and Deacon David will be joining us at St. Padre Pio Parish. Bless these new Deacons as they serve their communities. We continue to pray for them on their faith journeys - may they know true humility and be faithful in their service to God, living by the example of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you to the and other parish volunteers for providing an opportunity for fellowship after the 12:00 Mass today.

We Believe! This year’s Passion Play was so impactful and touched the hearts of so many. We are thankful for the over 100 volunteers who helped onstage, in the choir, in the band, front of house, and behind the scenes. Special thanks to our directors, the organizing committee, our Associate Pastor, Fr. Nicetus and our Pastor, Fr. George.

The faithful from our community came to our Parish to undertake a powerful expression of Marian devotion during this month of Mary - visiting Canada’s Pilgrim Statue, Our Lady of the Cape.

Sponsored by Canada’s National Shrine of Our Lady of the Cape in Trois-Rivières, Que., the statue was accompanied by pilgrimage director Fr. Wedner Bérard. This month will mark 12 years since he began touring with the Pilgrim Statue, an experience that has seen him bring Our Lady far and wide. How blessed our Parish was to celebrate Mass in the presence of this beautiful statue of our mother.
