Do you ever feel like a small boat at sea in a big storm?
With so much uncertainty in the world, many of us long for a place to slow down, breathe, and reconnect.
Connecting to Spirit Through Creativity is a retreat designed to help you find that calm.
There are so many ways to tap into your inner peace — through art, music, writing, and mindful presence.
Artist Kathy Nutt will lead The Magic of Sigils, a creative way to focus your conscious desires and guide your subconscious toward manifestation. She’ll also offer additional arts-based workshops to awaken your creative spirit.
Through music and voice, Alexis Beer will help us connect more deeply to our spirit and inner rhythm.
Ashley Whitham will open new pathways of meaning through blackout poetry, revealing insights hidden within the written word.
All of this unfolds within the peace and beauty of Samish Island Retreat Centre — a place where inspiration feels natural and connection comes easily.
Come experience a weekend that restores, inspires, and invites you to be held by something deeper.
Meet our Special Guest Facilitator Kathy Nutt
Kathy Nutt is a creative who uses many media and styles to convey glimpses into her mysterious, whimsical world.
Kathy believes a creative practice (of any discipline) is a beneficial way to break through the mundane and view our worlds through fresh new eyes. We may discover a breakthrough, change a pattern, or just experience catharsis. Or we may simply arrive in a place of joy. She believes the creative process is more important than the finished product and that creativity is for everyone, not just the gifted few.
A gallery of her prolific visual artworks can be found online at:

About Lindsay Brown
I run an intuitive healing practice called Curious Healing.

My practice incorporates a mixture of energy work (Reiki), compassionate listening, and curious companionship/discussions. I also love to make use of tools such as symbol cards, aroma, mineral and sound therapies. Radical self-acceptance and compassion are my mantras!

To me, healing means integration. Re-membering who you really are and getting deeply curious with what you discover.
My aim is to remind others of their innate worth and wholeness, and to inspire the great healer within. I see myself as a joyful companion and guide on your self-healing, journey of Becoming.

Wonderful new of Stassi Cramm’s calling, such a blessing for our church!

The Council of Twelve Apostles shared a letter calling Stassi D. Cramm to serve as the next prophet-president of the Community of Christ. In her response, Sister Cramm has invited the church to prayerfully reflect on this call as we journey toward the 2025 World Conference, where it will be considered.

The church is encouraged to share prayers and statements of support here: https://bit.ly/48ZE9Q9

Believe it or not, creativity isn’t a stable personality trait, nor a rare power possessed by only the chosen few with artistic temperaments. Creativity is also not limited to specific domains, like music, theatre, dance, or visual arts. And we all go through times when we feel hopeless to create change or a cultivate creativity in our lives. Perhaps you feel like you used to be creative but have somehow lost it. Or too busy, too rushed, too poor, or too boring, or too afraid, to benefit from exploring creative practices. Whether you consider yourself creative or not, it is possible to cultivate personal creativity. Improved health, increased joy and wellbeing, financial abundance are only a few of the benefits of cultivating creativity.
But what exactly is the relationship between creativity and a well-nourished soul?
To find out, join special guest facilitator Lana Cullis, in retreat March 8th to 10th at Stillwood Camp and Retreat Centre near Chilliwack BC. Attend diverse sessions including Creativity: Myths, Mysteries and Misunderstandings, What Colour is Your Creative Soul, and Creativity and Money.
Suggested reading (not compulsory): Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert, and SoulSpace: Transform Your Home, Transform Your Life by Xorin Balbes
